Ken shuddered, looking it over. /How could this be possible!?/ he wailed silently. Fearing there was nothing else to do, he sat down on his bed, shaking. \"I\'ll have to tell them some time,\" he told himself. \"It\'s now or never.\" Taking a deep breath, he steadied himself, and went downstairs.

\"Guys, I have some very important news for you. I know, it may come as a bit of a shock, but... It must be said.\"

Everyone looked at him, expectantly.

\"I\'m a vampire.\" This statement was met with general disbelief and laughter.

Omi stared at him with something like, O.o. Aya stared at him with -_-; and Yohji burst into laughter. Finally, Omi regained his wits enough to ask.

\"How do you know?\" Ken smiled, resigned.

\"I\"ve got not reflection, and I\'m allergic to garlic.\" Aya sighed.

\"It\'s indigestion, Ken, not an allergic reaction.\" Ken gave a belch to add credance to this statement. \"And it doesn\'t stop you from eating it anyway.\"

Yohji had finally recovered enough to add his two cents worth. \"And you can\'t see your reflection because your ugly mug destroys the mirror!\"

Omi came to his defense, rebuking Yohji. \"That\'s mean! Don\'t say things like that!\" Ken pouted, but Yohji plowed onwards.

\"Helen of Troy, with the face that launched a thousand ships... Here we have Ken Hidaka of Tokyo, the face that SANK a thousand ships!\"

\"Guess who\'s sleeping in the garage tonight,\" Omi muttered.

Ken raised his hand enthusiastically. \"OO! Ooh! I know this one! I know this pick me!!\"

Aya was hauling a suitcase down the stairs. \"Guess who\'s sleeping in a motel tonight,\" he said, dryly. Ken paused to think it over.

\"I give up,\" he said after a few minutes. \"Who?\"

Omi gave Aya a tearful look. \"Don\'t leave me alone with them!\" he pleaded. Aya looked him over.

\"Do you still have that marijuana we confiscated from our last hit?\" he asked. Omi nodded. Aya waved him along. \"Okay. I\'ll pack the car, you call the babysitter.\" He continued to lug the suitcase along.

Ken made another try. \"But guys! I\'m a vampire! A creature of the night!\" Omi rolled his eyes.

\"Ken-kun, it\'s three in the afternoon!\"

Ken looked lost. \"I\'m a reverse vampire then?\" Omi scoffed.

\"Don\'t be silly! There\'s no such thing!\"

\"Forget the motel, I\'m booking a flight to Mexico... With free healthcare there, I can get Aya-chan put on more cost-efficient life support.\"

Yohji once felt it worth his attention to add something. \"And the organ thief orderlies just cruising for a clean pair of kidneys.\"

Omi smiled. \"That leaves you out, Yohji. Your livers half shot.\"

Ken snickered. \"Yeah, Yohji\'s half dead anyway.\" He froze. \"Yohji\'s a zombie!\"

Yohji thwapped him on the head. \"I am NOT a zombie, you jackass!\"

Aya hid a smirk. \"Someone obviously hasn\'t seen his face in a mirror at six in the morning. \" Ken made a comment to the effect of, \'if he had, he\'d have broken them,\' but this was ignored. Yohji gestured at Ken.

\"That\'s because Count Dork-ula keeps breaking the damn mirrors!\"

\"I thought it was Count Dracula,\" Ken said stupidly, not really following the conversation.

Omi came to Ken\'s defense. \"At least he\'s learned NOT to bounce a soccer ball off his head while he\'s in the bathroom!\"

Yohji ignored Omi, and pointed to Ken. \"I rest my case.\"

Omi scrutinized Ken for a moment. \"Besides, Ken-kun, you\'re wearing your cross necklace. It would have burned you if you were a vampire.\"

Ken scratched at his neck. \"Yeah, but it itches like a sonuva...\"

Yohji looked at his neck. \"Hey, Ken, there\'s a black line around your neck!\" Ken screamed.

\"The necklace is burning my neck! Aaaagghhhh!\"

Aya shook his head. \"That\'s because its a cheap junk necklace, Ken. The finish is coming off.\" Ken ignored him, and instead ran from the store screaming.
