But no, he was standing right in front of him. Still the same smug bastard that had died, what, months ago. Damn him. Damn that smirk.
Sanosuke clinched his fists at his sides. He had learned some self-restraint since the bastard had died. Alright, so he just wanted some answers before he beat that smirking face into the ground.
\"What\'s wrong moron, speachless for once?\"
Sano felt his fingernails bite into his palms. He watched the ever calm cop exhale smoke as he crushed the butt under his heal.
\"What do you want?\"
\"Oh, haven\'t you been wondering where I\'ve been?\" Snide as usual.
\"Dead I assumed. But obviously not. Did that stick up you ass save you or something?\"
\"Ah...your way with words never ceases to amaze me.\"
Rooster baiting was too easy. Saito held back an evil snicker. But no matter how much he wished to deny it, this rooster-head had been the first person he had sought out on his return to Tokyo.
\"SON OF A BITCH!\"
Sano\'s self control evaporated. He couldn\'t wait for answers, he needed to pound that face into the dirt. That or do something he wasn\'t ready to openly admit yet. So fists flew and were quickly dodged.
Punches continued to be thrown until Saito grew tired of the moron\'s fury. He grabbed Sano\'s wrists, spun him around, and planted him chest first into the dirt with a knee in the back.
\"If you wish to continue this, I recommend somewhere more...private.\"
The words swept across Sano\'s ear and sent an involuntary shiver down his spine. Saito smirked at feeling this and slowly eased himself off the boy.
Sano turned wary eyes on the cop. The amber eyes lit something inside of him. This man did something to him. He begrudgingly gave in.
\"And where would that be?\"
He watched as Saito turned, lit another cigarette, and began to walk away.
\"Come.\"
Thats it. Thats all he needed. He was on his feet and after the wolf. He had to find out what it was that made him act like a moron around this man. There was only one way to do that.
