Discovery
Hiya, this is my first story, so be nice will ya? Anyway I hope you enjoy and please review. Another thing I don\'t own Saiyuki, though I wish I did, but this is just for fun and no profit. Oh, by the way, Sanzo may seem a bit ooc, but I\'ll try to correct that, and this story takes place after they defeat Gyoumou(?) so it\'s slightly AU, but it\'s still good honest.
But enough, on with the story!

\"Watch out! Get down every one!\" Sanzo yells as he shields a small body under his. An explosion is heard and Sanzo eases up slightly looking around.
“What the hell happened?\" Gojyo grips as he stands up.
\"I do believe we weren\'t supposed to pick up that apple, Goku.\" Hakkai comments, and then heads toward Sanzo, who is now standing as well and looking down a small, slender girl, however she has pointed ears.
\"Who is she, Sanzo? Better yet, what is she?\" Hakkai says as the girl moans and starts to wake up.
\"She is something I never thought I\'d ever see. She is a sprite, what kind of sprite I do not know, but I do know they haven\'t been seen for the past 100,000 years or so.\" Sanzo answers and kneels down as her eyes open.
\"Where am I? What happened? Who are you guys?\" The girl says as she stands up. She is so tiny that she only comes up to Goku\'s shoulder, but the intelligence in her eyes shows that she isn\'t as young as her appearance shows.
\"You\'re safe. I\'m Genjo Sanzo; this is Cho Hakkai, Sha Gojyo, and Son Goku. We entered you\'re temple, and set off a booby-trap. May I ask what are you? And what your name is?\" Sanzo answers.
“I am called Sonya no Rekka. I am a fire sprite.” Sonya answers, and then looks at the guys more closely, “You three aren’t human. You’re demons, but he is a human. When did humans and youkai start getting along?”
“It’s been a long time youkai and humans have been living in peace for several centuries now. Do you know when you were last awake?” Sanzo answers.
“No, but the eternal fire tells me it’s been a long time. However if I’m awake now, it means SHE is waking up as well. I need to find my sisters quickly.” Sonya replies.
But enough, on with the story!
