Darkness
AN: Hey I am Queerbee this story is finished (just not all put up yet) As long as I get more then 2 reviews I will update everyweek.

Prelude
Darkness
Rain poured down harshly through the night. Hotaru sat in a corner of a all white room with her arms wrapped around her knees. She was shaking uncontrollably with her purple eyes gleaming as tears ran down her pale cheeks. \"I can\'t stop them, I can\'t stop them.\" She whispered tears in her eyes. Hotaru brought her hands up to each side of her face and started to rock back and forth. \"Make it stop just, make Them go away.\"
The door opened and Hotaru looked up to see a doctor wearing a white jacket and a stelescope around her neck. She had short blue hair that reached only her neck and deep blue eyes that looked sympatheticly at the girl. \"Hotaru Tomoe? I am Dr. Mizuno, we are going to help you.\" she said kneeling down by the girl. Hotaru inched away starting to mumble in coharently. \"Relax I am going to ask you a few questions. Can you handle that.\"
\"Questions, yeah, sure.\" Hotaru mumbled softly under her breath.
An hour later Ami Mizuno watched Hotarus god-mother Michiru and her life partner Haruka enter her office. \"Please have a seat ladies.\" Ami said opening Hotarus file.
\"Well is she going to be okay?\" Michiru asked near tears. Haruka placed a warm arm around her partner trying to comfort the blue haired beauty.
Ami smiled. \"Provided she sees a psychiatrist, I am available by the way. Oh and I would advice you not to send her to school yet she has flashbacks of the fire everynow and then. You can take her home. If you are worried about her social life you can in role her to learn instruments but make sure that you are with her in case she has another episode.\"
\"How badly was she injured?\" Haruka asked.
\"She has severe burn injuries on her legs and back where the fire hit her. She has twenty sticthes on her back and a slight concusion which is why she can not leave here untill tommorow.\" Haruka and Michiru both nodded and scheduled when Ami would come to speak to Hotaru.
After the two left Dr. Mizuno frowned. Hotaru had lied she was sure of it. She had said she didn\'t think about the accident. What startled Ami was that the young girl seemed so scared of something. Murder was ruled out, the investigation led to the conclusion that the gas on the stove had a leak and when Suichi Tomoe went to light his ciggarette the whole house caught flames. It was amazing that the young girl managed to survive.
Hotaru leaned back staring out the window of the limo silent. Michiru patted her on the shoulder causing the black haired girl to jump. \"You will love it at our mansion.\" she said comfortingly. \"You will have a large room. Oh we have a swimming pool in the back yard.\" Hotaru kept herself silent. Keeping the stare out of the window. Michiru leaned back against Haruka sighing. They had always wanted a daughter but this was going to prove difficult. They had a young girl in their care who had witnessed the death of her parents and the loss of her brother whos body was never found. The doctors said that it was probably incinarated to ashes. Haruka, how are we going to manage this one. Michiru thought to herself.
Hotaru sighed as she allowed Michiru to lead her into her new room. If she hadn\'t been so traumatized she would have enjoyed her new large room with lamps everywhere. Aunt Michiru realized that she loved lamps and placed them here for her. Michiru knelt down to face the girl. \"Are you hungry?\" she asked quietly. Hotaru shook her head. \"Are you sure.\"
\"Just tired.\" Hotaru said barely above a whisper. Michiru saw it as a good sign that she was speaking.
\"All right. Just get your rest.\" Michiru said tucking her in.
After they left she walked to the window looking fearfully out the window. \"Shut them out, shut them out!\" she whispered and slunk down to the floor. She couldn\'t tell anyone about them, no one would believe her. They killed her mother and father, she wasn\'t sure what they did to her brother but she knew that They would be hunting her, and they wouldn\'t stop untill they had her. The worst part was that she didn\'t even know what They wanted. She cried fighting the sleep that was taking over her weak body. She was so afraid They would get her while she was asleep. \"Protect me, protect me.\" She said clutching at a crucifex that hung around her neck.
