Touya's Lullaby
Touya’s Lullaby
(This is my second lemon okay. Unlike the other one I acknowledge this one sucks so bear with me as I try to get better ***’s mean it’s someone else’s POV, italic writing is for thoughts, and bold print is for actions.)
Sakura: I’m home! Otousan? Onichan?
Sakura glanced at a note she spotted taped to the fridge.
Sakura: Out to a last minute meeting, help yourselves to dinner. P.S. There’s lemon cake in the fridge for dessert. –Otousan
Sakura sighed. She had packed Kero and taken him to school with her today. She wouldn’t have left him in Tomoyochan’s care if she had known this was going to happen, but she knew other than the maids, Tomoyochan was alone at home because of her mother being on business trip again. Shrugging off her backpack and placing it on the countertop, she scampered upstairs. She froze at her brother’s door.
Sakura: Hoe?
His lights were out. Was he even home? She widened her eyes as she began to hear a precious tune invade her ears. It was so soft and sweet, yet somehow…familiar.
Sakura: Onichan is playing the piano…
***
Touya reglanced over the note his father had left then in one swift notion, tore it down and tossed it, not even considering if Sakura wanted to read it. He figured she’d ask about their father’s absence later, he could tell her then. He tossed his backpack in a corner and turn to face the living room. His eyes wavered over the room until they hit something shoved in the corner…the piano. He hadn’t touched it in a while…ever since he stop seeing his mother anyway. He felt an emptiness ever since. He was unsure if it was from his longing to express himself through music, or his longing to see his mother’s precious face…or perhaps both. He did a double take when he realized he had unconsciously made his way to the piano bench and was already seated in “G” position. He tightened his eyes shut as he heard the melody play itself in his head once more. It didn’t take long for his thought to become reality. He was soon inhaling every note outloud to his ears, playing them with the same caution and deep thought that he always was.
Sakura: Onichan?
He froze, he didn’t even consider the fact that he might have an audience. He had totally forgotten for the moment she was even there, that she was even ever born.
Sakura: Onichan…that’s mother’s song…isn’t it?
He sucked in his breath tight. Tensing every muscle in his body. She knew? She knew about that song? About his lullaby?
Touya: "Of course she knows, mother sung it to her as well…"
His thoughts began to go in haze. Had she told anyone? Tomoyo? That Chinese Gaki? It was bad enough Yuki knew, but now the other person he had come to love so dearly was standing there intaking every moment based on his kept so long secret.
Sakura: You still miss her, Onichan?
At this point, it was inevitable, he could feel tears fighting to the surface. Tears he had kept so long to hide. He swallowed hard and began to attempt to cringe them back only causing them to erupt more. He didn’t want her to see him like this, not her. Not his beloved sister. She would just reject him too, just like Yuki did.
Touya: Sakura, I…
He choked back a gasp when he felt her fragile little arms snake their way around his waist, attempting to reach all the way around but failing.
Sakura: I won’t ever leave you Onichan.
He turn and could see tears cradled below her lower lashes. He leaned foreword and began to lightly brush them off with his lips. He heard her gasp in surprise, it then it occurred to him.
He had a true sister complex.
(Stop right there I guess, I have more on paper but I want to leave it and see if people think it should continue. And yes, it does turn into a lemon if I do continue.)
