What?!

A/N: Just a fun little short fic. No real purpose except to add balance to my angst fics. I don't remember where this idea came from. I just started writing.

WHAT?!

The green-eyed youkai stormed out of the bathroom. Panic and anger written all over his face. He flew into the living room and aimed a deadly glare at Gojyo. The redhead was sitting contently on the couch and smiled up at his lover. Well, until he saw the look in his eyes that Gojyo imagined had only been aimed at a certain purple haired demon. His first thoughts were ‘Oh shit…’ Actually, those were his only thoughts for the brunette didn’t give the redhead time to think further.

“I’m late!” Hakkai shrieked. He paced in small circles in front of Gojyo and the hanyo was baffled.

‘Late for what?’ The redhead thought, but didn’t voice it. His brows knitted in confusion and he looked at the ground then back at Hakkai. “Hakkai…?” He asked. Concern etched his tone.

“You and I… for the past number of weeks… we have…” The brunette seemed flustered. He stopped to compile his information before wringing his hands. “We have been sleeping together. Unprotected sex. Neither of us has been implementing any kind of protection against pregnancy.”

Gojyo just stared completely taken aback by this conversation. ’What the hell is Hakkai talking about? He can’t possibly be serious.’ Gojyo’s mouth gaped open. This wasn’t happening.

“I’m late! I’m pregnant!” Hakkai finally cleared up for the redhead who looked like he was speaking another language. He knew he wasn’t being evasive like usual. He was straight forward. There was no way for the other man to misunderstand him.

“H-Hakkai…” Gojyo forced out before he started to laugh uncontrollably. This wasn’t happening. Hakkai did not just say that. He couldn’t stop laughing. A glare settled on the redhead and he finally tried to catch his breath and calm down. When he did he looked up and wiped tears out of his eyes. “Hakkai, you can’t be pregnant. It’s not possible. You’re a guy. Guys don’t have kids.” He started laughing once again.

Hakkai looked at him wide-eyed. Then blinked and started to chuckle softly with Gojyo. Where had his mind gone? Gojyo was right. He couldn’t have a child. It was physically impossible for a male to bear a child. “You’re correct Gojyo. I don’t know what I could have possibly been thinking. The negative effects of insomnia must be affecting my ability to think rationally.”

“So… basically you weren’t thinking ‘cause you’re tired? That’s cool man. No problem. Everyone makes mistakes. Even the ‘All Mighty Sanzo-sama’.” Gojyo said and they both laughed.

**Six months later**

“Gojyo! This is certainly not just a stomach virus! I really am pregnant!” Hakkai said as he stormed out of the bathroom. He was overweight and very moody. He held a pregnancy test in his hands that read positive. “How ever this happened, I blame you!”

**Back at Houtou Tower**

A raven haired man in a white lab coat sat at a computer and snickered. “Yare yare… I wonder how long it will take him to discern Sha Gojyo is sterile.” Nii looked down at his bunny. “We are quite devious aren’t we? He will never know where that child came from. No he won’t.” His voice was almost childish.

**In the doctor’s office**

“WHAT?!?! What the fuck do you mean I can’t have kids!? Sha Gojyo doesn’t shoot blanks!!!” Gojyo could be heard down the hall and into the waiting room where Cho Hakkai sat blushing deeply and covering his face. All the other patients in the waiting room were staring at the brunette, who they saw enter with the man belonging to that voice.

‘Wait… If Gojyo is unable to fertilize… then where did this child come from?’ Hakkai asked himself.
