The Mermaid

(Stupid person translation) I don't own the Sailor Moon series!

Just this story! Also this is a girl/girl love story and has a couple

of short lemons. If that offends you, leave now! Finally this is

a Haruka/Usagi paring. If that also offends you get out now!

You have been thoroughly warned! I hope you enjoy this story.

The Mermaid

Far out at the sea the water is as blue as the petals of the loveliest

cornflower and as clear as the purest glass but it is as deep as a

bottomless pit. The bottom of the sea isn't a bare white sandy bottom.

There are trees and plants growing down there, with stalks and leaves that

bend so easily that they stir at the very slightest movement of the water,

just as though as they were alive. All the fishes, big ones and little

ones, slip in and out of the branches just like birds in the air up here.

It was there that lived a very beautiful mermaid.

Her name was Usagi. Her skin was as clear and delicate as a rose leaf,

her eyes were as blue as the deepest lakes, her tail was many shades of

pink with a white fin and her blonde hair was shaped with two long hair

buns.

One night, while she was exploring, Usagi saw the bottom of a ship. Since

she was curious about the human world, she swam close but not too close to

the ship and rose up from the sea.

She had saw that the sun had just set and the clouds still had a gleam of

rose and gold and up in the pale pink sky the evening star shone clear and

beautiful. The air was soft and fresh and the sea was dead calm.

The ship that Usagi swam towards was a large three masted ship, with only

one sail hoisted because not a breath of wind was stirring. The sailors

were lolling about in the rigging and on the yards. There was music and

singing. As it grew dark hundreds of lanterns of many different colors

were lit.

Usagi was at the porthole of the cabin and every time she rose with the

swell of the wave, she could see through the clear glass a crowd of

splendidly dressed people; but one human caught her eye. This one had grey

blue eyes and had short platinum blonde hair. She wore a dark blue kimono.

If this human wasn't wearing a kimono, Usagi would have thought that she

was a man.

Usagi had seen humans before, from a safe distance. In her eyes this one

was the most beautiful of all.

This young woman who Usagi had admired was known as Haruka. Today was her

birthday and there was a great celebration underway on the ship. As she

came out on to the deck where everyone was, over a hundred rockets flew up

into the sky and broke into a glitter like broad daylight.

That had frightened Usagi and she dove down under the water but she

quickly popped her head up again to take another look. It was just as if

all the stars in heaven were falling down on her. She had never seen such

fireworks. Great suns were spinning around, gorgeous fire fishes swerving

into the blue air and all this glitter was mirrored in the clear still

water.

On board the ship itself, it was so bright that you could make out every

little rope and all the passengers. Haruka received all the passengers,

laughed and smiled, while the music was floating out into the loveliness

of the night.

It grew late but Usagi could not take her eyes off the ship and Haruka.

The colored lanterns were put out and the rockets no longer climbed into

the sky; but down deep in the sea there was a mumbling and a rumbling.

Meanwhile Usagi stayed on the water, rocking up and down so that she could

look into the cabin. But the ship gathered speed; one after another the

sails were spread. The waves increased, heavy clouds blew up and

lightening flashed in the distance. A terrible storm was coming and the

sailors took in their sails, as the great ship rocked and scudded through

the raging sea. The waves rose higher and higher like huge black

mountains, threatening to bring down the mast, but the ship dove down like

a swan into the trough of the waves and then rode up again on their

towering crests.

"That must be fun! I'd love to sail on a ship like that!" She thought.

The ship's crew didn't agree with her. The vessel creaked and cracked.

The planks crumpled up under the heaving pounding of the sea against the

ship. The mast snapped in the middle and then the ship gave a lurch on one

side as the water came rushing into the hold. Usagi knew that they were in

danger. She herself had to look out for beams and bits of wreckage that

were drifting on to the water.

For a moment it was so dark that she couldn't see a thing. When the

lighting came out it was so bright that she could make out everyone on

board. At this point it was every man for himself. Haruka was the one she

was looking for and as the ship broke up, she saw her disappear into the

depths of the sea. "No she mustn't die!" She thought. Usagi swam in among

the drifting beams and planks, with no thought of being crushed by them.

She dove down deep and came up right up at the waves and at last she found

Haruka. She could tell that Haruka was too tired to swim any more and her

eyes were closed. Usagi held her head above the water and swam till she

found land.

Once she had found land, Usagi let the current of the waves take her

there. Once they touch land, Usagi dragged Haruka out of the water and on

to the dry sand. She then took down her hair and was going to cover Haruka

with it for warmth till she woke up. Usagi knew that if she stayed out of

the water too long, her fin would turn into a pair of legs and she would

be human; while she was on land. She figured as soon as Haruka was awake,

she would quickly run into the water, become a mermaid again and swim

away. However, that long swim had worn Usagi out. She collapsed on top of

Haruka and her very long hair covered them both.

It was early in the afternoon when Haruka woke up. When she rose, she

felt something on top of her. She looked down saw Usagi, in her human

form. Usagi was still asleep. Without waking her, Haruka sat up and held

Usagi in her arms. "Who is this beautiful maiden? I don't remember seeing

her on the ship." Haruka thought. She then moved some of the long hair

over and put her head on Usagi's chest. "It's a miracle that she's alive!"

She thought afterwards. Haruka then realized that Usagi was naked. She

gently placed Usagi down and took off her outer kimono. She then put it on

Usagi's bare body. Once she was covered, Haruka picked her up and was

going to find some shelter for them when she saw a small group of people.

With Usagi in her arms, Haruka headed in their direction. As they

approached closer, Haruka seemed to recognize one of them. "Seiya …" She

said when saw the raven haired woman.

Seiya then turned and asked "Princess Haruka, what are you doing here?"

Seiya and her two cousins, Yaten and Taiki were about to bow to Haruka

but she stopped them. "Seiya you don't have to be so formal. We're not in

court. Outside of that, I'm just your friend Haruka." She said to Seiya.

Seiya replied "Haruka you haven't answered my question. Who is this

maiden you have in your arms?"

"Last night one of my ships was caught in a storm and was destroyed. I

really don't know how I came here. The last thing I can remember was being

thrown overboard and trying to swim away. I grew tired after awhile and

fell asleep. When I came to I found that I was here, with her on top of

me." Haruka told them.

Seiya then asked, "Do you know who she is? Do you know of any other

survivors?"

"I really don't know who she is. All I know is that she was one of the

passengers. Besides her I didn't see anyone else from the ship." Haruka

replied.

Seiya and Yaten put their arms around Haruka and helped her walk to

Seiya's palace. Haruka had somewhat reluctantly given Usagi to Taiki. Taiki

was right behind them.

Usagi had just woke up. She looked around and found out that she was not

in the water. She then remembered the events of last night. She saw that

she was not at the beach and in a strange place. "How did I get here ?"

Usagi wondered. She then looked down and saw that she was in a white

nightgown. Just then Usagi heard the door open and she got so scared that she

couldn't move.

Haruka had walked in to see how Usagi was doing. "So you're finally up.

You've been asleep most of the day." Haruka said to her. Haruka then

noticed the frightened look on Usagi's face. She took Usagi's hand and

said comfortingly "You have nothing to be afraid of. You're among friends

here."

Usagi looked into Haruka's eyes and saw that there was nothing to fear.

She begun to relax and looked down to see that Haruka's hand had touched

hers. Usagi's heart began to flutter and she didn't know why.

Seeing that Usagi had relaxed, she let go of Usagi's hands. "So what's

your name? Mine's Haruka." She said to her.

"Usagi. Haruka how did I come here?" She replied.

Haruka answered "Last night the ship we were on was destroyed in a storm.

Everyone on board was thrown into the sea. Somehow you and I managed to

survive and got to the beach of my friend Seiya's lands. When I was awake,

I found you on top of me without a stitch of clothing. I checked to see if

you were alive and found that you were. I then took my outer kimono off

and placed it on you. I picked you up and was going to find some shelter

when I happened to see my friend and her two cousins. I told them what

happened and they took us here. We placed you in this room and got you out

of my kimono and into the nightgown you're wearing. Do you have any other

questions?"

For the time being Usagi decided not to tell Haruka how they ended up on

the beach. "She wouldn't believe me if I told her." She thought. Instead

of slipping away from here and going back to the sea, Usagi decided to

stay here and get to know Haruka a little bit more. Just then her stomach

growled. "Um Haruka, I'm hungry. Do they have anything to eat here?" She

asked her.

Haruka softly chuckled and answered "Yes, they have food here. If you

wait right there, I'll get you a kimono from Yaten's room. Then I'll take

you to the dinning hall to eat dinner. You and she are about the same

size. Besides, she has so many kimonos that she wouldn't miss a few."

Usagi didn't really want to be alone in this place, so she asked "Can I

go with you?"

"Sure you can. That would be a lot easier and you can pick a kimono

that you like." Haruka answered. She and Usagi walked out of the room and

into Yaten's room.

With Haruka's help Usagi picked out a light blue kimono. She had helped

Usagi put on one of Yaten's inner kimonos, when Yaten walked in. As soon

as she saw the short sliver haired woman, Usagi got frightened and went

behind Haruka's back and clung to her waist for protection.

Haruka turned her head towards Usagi and said "Now Usagi, I told you

that there is nothing to be frightened of. Yaten is not going to bite your

head off. She may bark at times but she never bites." Haruka then took

Usagi's hands from her waist and gently pushed her forward.

Haruka's eyes told Yaten to say hello or else. Fearing Haruka's wrath,

Yaten bowed to Usagi and said "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I

heard that you were up so I came here to see how you were and to change

for dinner."

Usagi again relaxed and Haruka finished helping her get dressed. Yaten

had just changed into a jade green kimono embroidered with white

chrysanthemums. Haruka brushed Usagi's long hair. When she was finished

brushing it, Yaten took the brush from Haruka and insisted on styling

Usagi's hair. Usagi asked if Yaten would just give her two long buns.

Yaten granted her request and styled her hair that way. She then placed

two pearl combs in the front. When she was done she asked Haruka "Are you

happy with my work?"

Haruka looked at Usagi, smiled and said "Yes I do." Usagi was glad that

Haruka liked the way her hair looked and decided that while she was in the

human world that she would always have her hair like this.

Yaten the brushed and did her hair. Once she was done, the three of them

headed for the dinning hall.

Seiya and Taiki greeted them as soon as they were in the dinning hall.

Haruka introduced Usagi to them. Usagi sat next to Haruka at the table.

Dinner was served as soon everyone was seated. It was steamed lobster. As

soon as a lobster was put on everyone's plate, everyone's eyes were on

Usagi. She had picked up the lobster and began to eat it (with the shell

on) with her bare hands.

Everyone gave her a puzzled looked. Usagi saw that everyone was watching

her and she quickly put down her lobster. Haruka quickly came to her

rescue. She chuckled and said 'I guess you weren't kidding when you said

that your were really hungry.' Seiya, Yaten and Taiki couldn't help

laughing at it either. With Haruka's help, Usagi managed to get through

dinner without too many breaches of etiquette.

The next morning Haruka had gotten out of bed and went to the room next

door to wake Usagi up and have breakfast with her. Last night when Usagi

went to bed, Haruka had a discussion with Seiya. She had gone into Seiya's

room. Seiya offered a seat on the bed. "Seiya, when I really worried about

Usagi. I will leave here in a few days for my home. I really don't know

what should be done with her when I leave. It seems that she has no family

or friends. I don't want to leave her all alone nor send her off to a

strange place. What would be the best thing for her?" Haruka asked her friend.

Seiya looked Haruka in the eye and said "I think that Usagi should go

with you. You are the only person that she really trusts. Also, I think

that she might do you some good and I don't think that your family would

object."

Haruka kissed Seiya on the cheek and said "Thank you for helping me." She

then left Seiya's chamber and went to bed.

"She looks so cute when she's asleep. I almost hate to wake her up."

Haruka thought the next morning.

Haruka gently shook Usagi awake. When Usagi woke up and saw Haruka's

face, she smiled and hugged her. Haruka blushed a little. "Good morning

Usagi. I thought that you would like to have breakfast with me, alone. It

will be here by the time you are dressed." She said after Usagi let her

go.

A few minutes after Usagi was dressed, breakfast had arrived in her

chamber. Haruka put some food on her plate and Usagi's. Usagi had never

seen food like this before. "It must be good since Haruka's eating it."

She thought. Usagi picked up her chopsticks, which she learned how to use

last night from Haruka and began to eat.

When they were finished eating, Haruka said, "Usagi, I just sent word to

my family that I am alive and well. In seven days, I will leave here and

go to my kingdom, which is a five day journey. I would like you to come

and live with me and my family. That is if you want to."

Usagi's eyes lit up. "Haruka I would follow you anywhere you go." She

replied. Usagi then asked 'When I go and live at your home, can I have a

room next to yours?"

"I think I can arrange it." Haruka replied. She was relived that Usagi

was willing to with her. She didn't know what to do if Usagi had said no.

"Now that we are finished eating, you and I are going into the village

and buy some kimonos for ourselves. Nice as they are, I don't think that

Seiya and Yaten would like us to wear their kimonos forever." Haruka said

to her.

During the time they were there, Usagi fell more in love with Haruka. Her

heart fluttered when Haruka was around. Usagi loved the way she smelled,

walked and talked. Sometimes at night, when she couldn't sleep, Usagi

would quietly creep into Haruka's chamber and crawl into her bed. While

she was in the bed, she would watch Haruka sleep and hear her breathing. A

few minutes later, Usagi would fall asleep.

The time had come for them to leave. Seiya had decided to come with them

as an escort. Usagi didn't mind since she had made friends with her and

her cousins during her stay there. Usagi and Haruka said their goodbyes to

Yaten and Taiki. Haruka helped Usagi in the ebony palanquin and the she

got in herself and seated herself next to Usagi. Seiya was dressed in

men's clothing because she was going on this journey by horseback, which

Haruka would also do, once they were in her kingdom.

When they entered Haruka's kingdom, Usagi saw that there were no hills or

mountains. The land was green and the soil was rich. When they went

through the village, she could smell the sea. "The palace isn't too far

from here." Haruka told her.

Haruka was a little nervous. She was wondering what her mother Queen

Setsuna would think when she presented Usagi to her. Her mother was the

ruling sovereign of the kingdom. Haruka was next in line to the throne.

This was a very unique kingdom. It had been ruled by women for over a

thousand years.

In most kingdoms, the firstborn male rules.However in Haruka's kingdom,

it is in reverse. The eldest or firstborn female rules. Haruka's ancestors

did that because there were very few males in the clan and believed

that women could rule just as well as the men.

"Welcome home Haruka. I 'm glad that you are alive and well." The queen

said to her daughter."

"Haruka bowed to her mother and then gave her a hug. She tried to

introduce Usagi to her mother but again she had gone behind Haruka and

clung to her waist. Haruka had removed Usagi's arms from her waist and

said to her 'Usagi, my mother will not hurt you. Come on out from behind.

She wants to see your pretty face."

Usagi blushed at Haruka's comment. Haruka gently pushed Usagi in front of

her. Usagi looked at Queen Setsuna and bowed to her, just like Haruka

taught her. After she bowed and Haruka introduced Usagi to her, Setsuna

smiled and hugged her. "I'm glad to meet you Usagi and I hope that you

will stay with us for awhile. I also extend that to you Seiya. I'm sure

that the three of you would like to go to your chambers and freshen up. My

daughter will show you to your chambers." She said afterwards.

Haruka got a surprise when she came down for dinner. At the table she saw

a handsome young man with dark blue hair and eyes. She never seen this man

before. She was about to ask her mother about him. As soon as everyone was

seated Setsuna announced, "Everyone the gentleman that is sitting across

from my daughter is Prince Sapphire; he's the younger brother of Prince

Diamond of Rubyhaven. He is to marry my daughter within three months."

Haruka looked at her mother with contempt but knew that now wasn't the

time for words. Usagi tried to comfort Haruka with little success. For

Usagi and Seiya's sake, Haruka kept her composure and wasn't going to let

this match her mother set up, ruin her dinner.

Sapphire looked at Usagi, who was sitting next to Haruka with contempt.

"It's seems that Princess Haruka is paying more attention to that young

maiden, sitting next to her than she is to me. I am her betrothed, she

should be looking and talking to me." He thought.

Two months has passed and Haruka's wedding was next month. She was civil

to Prince Sapphire but she did not love him. Haruka thought that he was

vain and selfish. She spent most of her spare time with Usagi and Seiya.

Haruka did that because she knew that seeing them displeased Sapphire and

she also enjoyed their company.

Usagi had gone into Haruka's chamber, like many times before. She saw

that Haruka was sitting by the window. The moonlight had brighten Haruka's

hair and her features. "Why such a sad face on this beautiful night?"

Usagi asked her.

Haruka turned around and looked at her. She replied "It's nothing that

you should worry about. (She then sighs) At least you're not going to

marry someone you don't love."

"If you don't love this person, why are you marrying him? Where I come

from, we spend the rest of our lives with the one we love."Usagi asked her.

Haruka couldn't help but laugh at Usagi's simple answer. She then

explained to her about royal marriages. Usagi seemed to understand. She

was a little heartbroken that Haruka was going to be with someone else.

She wanted to go back to the sea before the wedding but Haruka had asked

her and Seiya to be her attendants. As always, Usagi couldn't say not to

her.

Usagi had gotten into the bed. Haruka joined her shortly after. Usagi

then fell asleep on Haruka's chest. Haruka stroked Usagi's long hair and

thought "She's so sweet and innocent. She's only been with me for a few

months but it seems like she's been with me for a lifetime. I'm going to

miss sleeping with her when I marry that prick next month. Sometimes I

wish I was marrying her instead but I know that is not possible." She then

looked at Usagi, moved her so as not to disturb her and then kissed her

softly on the lips.

Late one night, Usagi crept out of Haruka's bed. Since the palace was too

far from the sea, she went to Haruka's private bath. Once she was in,

Usagi placed salt in the water (so she could go back to her mermaid form)

and when she placed enough salt, she took off her nightgown and jumped

into the water. She swam for about an hour. When she was finished, she got

out of the water and dried herself off. She waited till she was back in

her human form before putting on her nightgown and going back to Haruka's

bed.

She thought that no one saw her. She was mistaken. That night two people

saw her. Seiya was one of them. She saw Usagi going towards the bath and

followed her. She was very surprised to discover that Usagi was a mermaid.

Seiya decided that she would confront Usagi about this in the morning.

Seiya went to her chamber and went to sleep.

The other person that saw her was Sapphire. He had also seen Usagi go

towards the bath, but he had seen go in and out of there for a couple of

nights. When he saw both Usagi and Haruka go into their chambers, he went

and hid in a dark corner of the bath. He was also surprised when he saw

Usagi's true identity. He thought "I knew that there was something unusual

about that maiden. I didn't think that getting her out of the way would be

so easy. I wonder what my Haruka would do if she found out the truth about

that maiden she likes so much? I must find a way to reveal this in a

public way."

The next day, Seiya asked Usagi to join her for tea. Usagi accepted since

Haruka had to with her mother on business. Once the tea was served and the

servants left the room, Seiya spoke "Last night, I took a walk. On my way

back, I saw you go into Haruka's private bath. I was wondering why you

were going there so late at night; so I also went in. Maybe my eyes were

playing tricks on me because I saw your legs turn into a mermaid's fin."

Usagi dropped her teacup when she heard that Seiya found out that she was

a mermaid. She was afraid of what Seiya was going to do and she asked "Now

that you found out about me, are you going to tell anyone?"

Seiya took a sip of her tea and when she was finished, she looked Usagi

in the eye. "Since you haven't done anyone any harm, I will keep silent

about this. However you must be more careful. If Prince Sapphire ever

found out, I don't know what evil he'll do to you. Only one person really

needs to know about this and that is Haruka. I think that you should be

the one that tells her. Now will you tell me how you met Haruka and how

you rescued her?" She replied.

Usagi was grateful for Seiya's reply. She enjoyed the rest of the tea.

She had also told Seiya how she met and rescued Haruka.

A few nights later, Usagi finally had the courage to tell Haruka the

truth. She had asked Haruka for a private dinner in her chamber. Haruka

granted Usagi's request, since she too couldn't say no to Usagi and she

wanted to have an entire evening alone with her. After dinner, Usagi had

planned to take Haruka to her bath and tell her there.

Things didn't quite go as planned. Haruka had decided that tonight she

was going to show Usagi how much she loved her. Before she married

Sapphire, Haruka wanted to give herself to someone she loved; even if it

could only be for one night.

Dinner was a quiet affair. Each had their own thoughts. After Usagi had

eaten, she gathered all her courage and said "Haruka there is something

that I need to tell you. It's about…"

Haruka cut her off and said "If it's about how you feel about me, you

don't have to tell me because I feel the same way about you." She then

kissed Usagi.

Usagi pushed her away. "Yes I do love you but what I have to say is more

important. It's about who I really am and …" She said afterwards before

being cut off by Haruka again with another kiss.

When they broke from that kiss and caught their breath, Haruka said to

her "It doesn't matter to me who you are. You don't have to tell me. Let

tonight be a night that we become one."

"What about Prince Sapphire? I thought that you were supposed to marry

him soon and that you could only give yourself to him." Usagi said to her.

She wanted to make love to Haruka but she knew that Haruka belonged to

someone else; even thought she did not love him.

Haruka took her hand and placed it on Usagi's cheek. She looked her in

the eyes and replied "It is my mother's desire that I marry Sapphire. It

is also an unpleasant duty of mine as a princess of this kingdom. One

thing that my mother (even though I love her) and Sapphire can't control

is my heart. Before Sapphire becomes my husband, and I give

myself to him, for one night I want to be intimate with the one that has

my heart and soul. That person is you." She then kissed Usagi again. This

time it was with more passion. After that kiss, Usagi gave up( for the

time being) telling Haruka that she was a mermaid.

Haruka then planted small kisses from Usagi's face to her neck.

Usagi felt her inner kimono fall off of her. Haruka went behind

Usagi and placed one hand inside of her inner kimono. She placed her

other hand around Usagi's slim waist. Inside Usagi's kimono, Haruka's

hand traveled to Usagi's left breast. Usagi let out a soft moan as Haruka

massaged it. She turned Usagi's face towards hers and deeply kissed her.

During that kiss, Haruka's switched to Usagi's other breast and gave it

the same attention.

She then opened Usagi's kimono and let her hands explored every curve

of Usagi's body. Haruka then turned around and picked Usagi up and

placed her on the bed. Usagi watched Haruka quickly undress. She

admired the tall woman's nude body. Haruka joined Usagi in bed and

shared another kiss with her.

Haruka 's tongue then traveled downwards to Usagi's breast. She licked each

hardened nipple and planted small kisses on her stomach. Usagi let out a

series of loud moans when Haruka placed a couple of fingers inside of her

womanhood. Haruka wiggled her fingers inside of her walls till she came

on them.

She took her fingers out and placed them in her mouth. Haruka liked the

taste of Usagi's juices. She soon exchanged her fingers for her tongue.

Usagi moaned out Haruka's name and ran her fingers through her

short platinum hair. It wasn't too long before Usagi reached her

second climax. Haruka licked her clean.

Haruka gazed into Usagi's eyes and kissed her once more. In need of her

own release, she turned Usagi over and had her on top. Haruka took

Usagi's hands and placed them over her own breast. Usagi felt her

lover's aroused body. She heard a series of low moans from Haruka

as her hands went lower. Usagi felt Haruka's hand guide one of her's

to Haruka's womanhood.

Remembering what Haruka did to her, Usgai placed a couple of her fingers

inside of her lover. She moved them in and out till she felt Haruka climax

on them. Not feeling comfortable putting them in her mouth, Usagi

wiped them clean on the edge of the sheet. Haruka pulled the blanked

over them and they soon fell asleep.

At breakfast, Sapphire said to everyone "Later this afternoon, I invite

everyone at the table aboard my ship for a party in honor of Princess

Haruka." Everyone accepted Sapphire's invitation. Only Seiya suspected

that Sapphire had some other motive.

Seiya escorted Usagi to the party, since Sapphire escorted Haruka and

Setsuna. The ship was decorated with flowers of many kinds and colors.

There were also red and white lanterns to be lit after sunset.

The party was well underway, when Sapphire asked Haruka, Usagi, Seiya and

Setsuna to follow him. He took them to the rear of the ship. Without anyone

noticing, he threw Usagi overboard. She let out a scream and everyone saw

that she went over.

When Haruka saw Usagi in the water, she quickly took off her outer kimono

and sandals; then jumped into the water to save Usagi. When Haruka rose

her head from the water, she swam around and looked for Usagi. She

panicked when she saw Usagi's outer and inner kimonos with her not in

them. "She can't be dead!?" Haruka thought. She dove in the water again

looking for Usagi. She swam underwater for a few minutes when she felt

something bump into her. She then felt something pulling her up. Haruka

caught her breath and then looked up. To her surprise and relief, it was

Usagi. Usagi looked at Haruka, laughed and said "I'm sorry that I bumped

into you."

"That's alright. When I saw only your kimonos, I thought that you were

dead. I thank the gods you're alive." Haruka replied. She then hugged and

kissed Usagi. She then said afterwards "Let's see if a lifeboat has come

for us."

After searching for several minutes, they saw a lifeboat. They swam

towards it. Sapphire and Setsuna were inside the boat. Setsuna was relived

to see that her daughter and her friend were alive. Sapphire smiled slyly.

"My plan is going better than I expected. Soon Queen Setsuna and my Haruka

will see Usagi's true self." He thought.

Sapphire helped Haruka into the boat. Setsuna had helped Usagi into the

boat. As soon as she got in, Haruka and Setsuna were surprised to see that

instead of a pair of legs on Usagi, they saw a pink tale of many shades

and a white fin. Usagi saw the expressions on their faces and had also

realized that she was still in her mermaid form. She cast her eyes and

face down. She was afraid of what they (especially Haruka) were going to

do to her.

"Looks like we caught a mermaid! Now what shall we do with her?"

Sapphire said with an evil grin on his face. He then pulled out a sword,

that he had concealed and was about to strike it at Usagi. All of a sudden

an arrow flew and went into Sapphire's head.

Haruka, Usagi and Setsuna wondered where the arrow had come from and

looked towards the ship, They saw Seiya with a bow. "She save me the

trouble of doing it myself. I'll have to thank her when we get back to the

ship." Haruka thought. She then picked up Sapphire's body and dropped it

into the sea. She then grabbed the oars and rowed them to the ship.

"Usagi, you being a mermaid… Was that what you wanted to tell me last

night?" Haruka asked her while she was rowing.

Usagi looked into her eyes and replied, "Yes it was. You're not upset by it

are you?"

Haruka stopped rowing. She placed her hand on Usagi's face and stroked it

gently. Usagi felt comforted by that. "I'm still quite shocked to find

this out but I'm not upset by it. It doesn't matter to me that you're

still a mermaid. I still love you." Haruka said to her. She then picked up

the oars and started rowing again.

By the time the boat had gotten back to the ship, Usagi had gone back to

her human form. Setsuna had told both Haruka and Usagi not to tell anyone

what had happened in the boat. The boat was pulled by the sailors of

Sapphire's ship. Seiya had helped them out of the boat and a servant had

given Usagi a robe to put on. "Everyone I have some bad news. Prince

Sapphire has died while saving the lives of my daughter and her friend

Lady Usagi. The sea has taken his body to heaven. Tomorrow I invite

everyone to visit my shrine and honor the memory of Prince Sapphire."

Setsuna said to everyone on the ship.

"My mother is thinking of having me marry Sapphire's brother Prince

Diamond. She thinks it would be the best way to advert a possible war. I

told her I didn't think that it would be a very good idea. She told me to

think about it anyway and to give her an answer in a week." Haruka said to

Usagi and Seiya when they were back at the palace."

Seiya had also agreed with Haruka about her marrying Prince Diamond. "I

don't think that Sapphire's death will bring a war. Your mother's

explanation of his death was acceptable to everyone, even to Sapphire's

servants. I think the reason why she suggested it is that she still wants

your kingdom and his to unite and she is also anxious for you to bear the

next heir to your throne." Seiya told her. After she said that, Seiya said

goodnight to Haruka and Usagi, then left and went to her chamber.

"Haruka, do you want to take a midnight swim with a mermaid?" Usagi

asked her when Seiya left.

Haruka grinned slyly and replied "You know perfectly well that I do." She

and Usagi walked hand in hand to her private bath.

Once Usagi found the water suitable, she jumped in and joined Haruka.

They played in the water for awhile. When they got a little tired of it,

they swam to a shallow part of the bath and Usagi cuddled with Haruka.

"Since the moment I thought that you had drowned, I realized how much I

really love you. I have also realized that I can't marry or be intimate

with any man. I want to spend the rest of my life with you but as a

princess, I don't know how that is possible." Haruka said to her, while

still in her arms.

Usagi replied "With love anything is possible. There is a way you can be

with me forever but it will be hard for you."

"Tell me how it is possible and I will decide for myself if the hardship

is worth it." She said to Usagi.

"You can come and live with me in the sea. While in my mermaid form, I

can mark you as mine and the way you get that mark will make you a

mermaid. If you want this, you will have to give up your life as a

princess. I'm willing to return here, once a year, during the winter

months. Being in the sea in the winter is not that pleasant. Also that way

you can still see your mother and Seiya while they are still alive. I'll

give you some time to think about it since it will forever change your

life. " Usagi told her.

Haruka thought for a moment and knew what her answer was. "I don't need a

lot of time to give you my answer. I would love to come away with you.

There is not much that I'll miss leaving here. I'll have Seiya take my

place. She'll do a good job of ruling this kingdom as I would have. How

long will it take for me to become a mermaid? Also how long will it be

before we have to leave? I would like to say goodbye to my mother and

Seiya." Haruka replied.

Usagi smiled and answered "It will take at least two days for you to

become a mermaid. You and I will have to leave as soon as the

transformation is complete. Are you ready for me to start?"

Haruka nodded. Usagi passionately kissed Haruka on the lips. From her

lips, Usagi planted a trail of kisses from her face to her neck. "I'm very

sorry Haruka but this going to hurt but the pain will be short lived." She

told Haruka before she continued. She kissed Haruka's neck up and down.

Haruka moaned in delight. Usagi then bit Haruka's neck till she drew

blood. Haruka cried out in pain but like Usagi said it was short lived.

Once she drew blood, Usagi licked the wound till it no longer bleeds. "Now

that the process is done, would you like to pick up where we were last

night, in your chamber?" Usagi asked her.

"What's wrong with here? I wanted to make love to you in your mermaid

form." Haruka answered.

Usagi giggled at Haruka's answer. She replied "I like to be more

comfortable and your bed is much more comfortable than here. Also, I

prefer doing you as a human." Haruka picked Usagi up and placed her on a

bench. Haruka dried herself off and put on her nightgown. Once she was

dressed, she picked up Usagi's nightgown and gave it to her. After Usagi

dried herself and put on her nightgown, Haruka picked her up and carried

Usagi to her chamber. Once inside, they quickly removed their nightgowns.

Usagi placed her arms around Haruka's neck and thoroughly kissed her. After

coming out of that kiss for air, she placed her fingers over Haruka's mark.

Usagi began to rub it and sent Haruka into an aroused state.

She then planted kisses from Haruka's collarbone to her breast. Usagi

licked and rubbed each nipple. She pushed Haruka onto the bed. Haruka

sat up on the bed. They kissed again. Usagi placed a couple of her fingers

over Haruka's womanhood. She rubbed the bud above the opening and being

rewarded with her lover's moans of pleasure.

When she felt Haruka's wetness on her fingers, Usagi put her fingers inside

of her. She wiggled them in and out of her. While Usagi was still pleasuring

Haruka, she felt a couple of Haurka's fingers go inside of her. Usagi was

surprised and pleased with this action.

They both moaned in unison and climaxed about the same time. After catching

their breath and pulling out of each other, Haruka pulled Usagi in for another kiss.

She laid Usagi down on the bed. Haruka placed her thigh on Usagi's womanhood

and placed her womanhood over Usagi's thigh. She rocked her hips forwards and

backwards.

Usagi felt Haruka's juices on her thigh. She also felt Haruka's thigh rubbing

against her womanhood. Both lovers cried out in the night as they reached

their second climaxes.

Haruka collapsed on top of Usagi. Usagi gently rolled Haruka over and placed

the sheets over them. It wasn't too long before she went to sleep.

A few days later when Haruka's transformation was complete, Usagi and

Haruka said goodbye to Setsuna and Seiya. They promised them that they

would come back and stay during the winter months. After they said

goodbyes, Haruka and Usagi jumped into the sea. Once Haruka was in her

mermaid form (she had a bright blue tale and fins), she and Usagi swam to

their future hand in hand.

This is the second fic from 1001 Nights that I turned into a one-shot. 1001 Nights is my fic! (for all stupid people) Like The Wondering King, I fixed the typos and added a lemon to it. I this story and The Wondering King to become one-shots because people thought that they were the best stories.
