The Wondering King

Many years ago in Kyoto was ruled by a very powerful and wealthy king.

His name was Touga and he was a very handsome young man.

Touga had long crimson red hair and sapphire blue eyes. He had everything

that his throne could give him except for one thing. That was a queen to

share his heart and throne. All the maidens that were presented to him as

candidates, did not suit him. These maidens were very beautiful but he did

not love them. Also, he knew that they did not really love him and only wanted

him for his wealth and power. His ideal wife would be one that would

love him for not because he was the king but for himself.

The king had enough of these phony maidens. Since his beloved city and

advisors couldn't provide him a bride; he had decided that he would travel

all through Japan to find her. He left the ruling of his kingdom to his

good friend Saionji.

He did not travel as a king. Touga disguised himself as a wonderer. He

traveled alone and on foot. Touga had traveled to many cities and villages

but still he could not find a maiden that would suit him. His good looks

did not go unnoticed. Every place he had visited the maidens would gather

around him. Because they thought that Touga was just a wonderer, none of

them stayed around him very long.

One day, Touga had just finished eating dinner when he heard a scream. It

was in the direction of the woods. Thinking that someone was being robbed

by bandits and he wasn't too far from the woods, Touga ran in that

direction.

When Touga got in the woods and the site where he heard the scream, he

was surprised by what he saw. Instead of someone being robbed, Touga saw a

very beautiful maiden on the ground. She was wearing men's clothing. She

had long pink hair and crystal blue eyes. Touga's heart skipped a beat.

"She's the most beautiful maiden that I've ever saw." He thought.

"My lady are you alright?" Touga asked her. He saw that she was a little

frightened but was trying to hide it. To comfort her some he said ''You

don't need to be frightened of me. I have no intent of harming you. By the

way my name is Touga. As you can see I'm just a wonderer and I was nearby

when I heard you scream. I ran to find out what is was and that's how I

found you."

The maiden had no choice but to accept Touga's help. His words did give

her some comfort. "At least he's not out to rob or rape me." She thought.

"I was riding my horse in the woods and I fell off while I jumping the

hedge. I tried to get up but I can't. I think that I sprained my ankle. If

you could get my horse and put me on it, I would greatly appreciate it. I

can ride to my home, on my own." She said to Touga.

Touga saw that the horse wasn't too far from where the maiden had fallen.

He walked towards the horse, grabbed it by the reigns and walked him to

where she was. He let go of the reigns and walked towards the maiden. He

looked at her feet and saw that her left foot was bruised and swollen. He

took off her sandals and she winced in pain when he took off the left one.

Touga picked her up and gently put her on the horse. He then took the

reigns and asked "Will you tell me how to get to your home? I will take

you and your horse there. You are in no condition to go back on your own.

Also, will you tell me your name? I would like to know who I am

helping."

" Tenjou Utena and I don't need anymore help from you.' She said with

contempt. Utena was stunned when Touga, with the reigns still in his hand,

started walking."

"Lady Utena will you tell me how to get to your home, or else we will be

walking in these woods for awhile." Touga said to her. Utena reluctantly

relented since Touga wasn't going away and her ankle was really starting

to hurt. She gave him the directions but said nothing more to him.

While he was walking Utena to her home, Touga thought "She isn't like the

other maidens that I have seen or known. I think that I'll stay in this

village and get to know her and her family a little better. She may be the

bride that I've been searching for."

When they got to Utena's home, Touga saw that it was more like a small

palace. He saw a man coming towards them. The man had white hair and the

same color eyes that Utena had. When they a few feet from him, Touga

stopped. He picked Utena off the horse and had her in his arms. He carried

her to the man, bowed to him and said "Lord Tenjou, your daughter Lady

Utena was riding in the woods and fell off of her horse. She has possibly

sprained her ankle. I heard her scream and found her. I found her horse

and placed her on it and brought her to you."

"My daughter was probably jumping again. I don't like her doing it but I

can't stop her. I thank you for finding her and bringing her home. If I

know my daughter well; she didn't take too kindly to your help. By the

way, what is your name?' Lord Tenjou said to Touga.

Touga introduced himself to Lord Tenjou. Touga carried Utena into the

house and placed her in her chamber. Lord Tenjou had one of his servants

get the doctor.

Utena was laid up for a few weeks, with her ankle. Lord Tenjou had

insisted that Touga stay at his home. Touga accepted and offered his

services as a bodyguard to Utena. Much to Utena's annoyance, Touga visited

her once a day.

Utena was back riding when she fully recovered. "Do you have to follow me

everywhere I go? Touga, you're starting to get on my nerves!" She said to

Touga while trying to lose him.

"Chasing her is more fun that going on a hunt." Touga thought

while he was going after her. He finally caught up with her. Utena gave up

in despair. They turned around, brought the horses to a walk and headed

home. "Lady Utena, I commend you on your riding. In my travels, I have

never seen any maiden and very few men ride like you." Touga said to her.

"Thank you… You ride pretty well yourself. You're the first person that

has been able to keep up with me but your good looks aren't going to get

you anywhere with me." Utena replied. She couldn't help blushing when

Touga complimented her.

Touga saw her blush. He smiled and thought "She's one feisty maiden.

I kind of like her when she is like that. I would love to spend the rest

of my life with her. It will take a lot of patience and persistence to win

her."

A month later, Lord Tenjou hosted a party. It was in honor of the

village's 100 years of existence. The village was founded and ruled by

Utena's family. Despite Utena's protests, Lord Tenjou insisted that Touga

escort her to the party. "Father, why does Touga have to escort me to the

party? He's not my husband nor am I betrothed to him." She said to him.

Lord Tenjou replied "That is because he is your bodyguard and it will

look like you have a suitor. Also, he is the first man you can't get rid

of no matter how hard you try."

Touga met Utena just outside the room where the party was taking place.

He was taken aback when he saw her. Utena was wearing a lavender kimono

with pink sakura blossoms. He bowed to her and said "Lady Utena you look

like a regal queen tonight."

His compliment made Utena blush. He then took Utena by the arm and

escorted her in the room. Lord Tenjou was already there and the party was

well underway. When Utena and Touga entered the room, everyone there

thought that they were a pleasant looking couple. "I guess I'll have to be

nice to him tonight or else I'll have those stupid suitors all over me."

Utena thought. For the first time, that night Utena was kind to Touga and

the two of them did enjoy themselves.

In the mid-summer, a visitor came to the Tenjou household. He was a blue

haired and blue eyed young man. He was from a village nearby and was a

childhood friend of Utena's. "Miki… It's been awhile since I last saw

you!" Utena said when she saw him. She ran and gave him a hug. Touga

looked at them jealously. He walked down to where they were. When she saw

him, Utena said "Miki this crimson haired gentleman was a wonderer that my

father hired as my bodyguard. His name is Touga."

Touga bowed to Miki. Miki could have sworn that he had seen Touga before.

He wondered if, even if it was long shot, was the King of Kyoto. He had

seen him while his family was in Kyoto. Miki wanted to find if Touga was

that king or not. He decided to wait to get Touga alone to find out the

truth.

"May I have a word with you?" Miki asked Touga.

He replied "Yes, Lord Miki. Since wall have ears, why don't we go to the

garden?" Miki and Touga walked out of the house and into the garden.

"You didn't have to bow to me, nor address me as Lord Miki; your

highness." Miki said to him.

Touga was shocked that Miki knew his true identity. He asked him "How did

you know? I thought that I disguised myself well."

"Last spring, my family went to Kyoto. While there, I met the king. He

had the same name as you and also looked like you. You may look like a

wonderer but your manners and speech are those of a nobleman." Miki told

him.

It took Touga awhile to remember when he met Miki and his family. "You

were the one with the look a like twin sister. I also remember that your

sister was presented to me as a possible wife. Like the others, I didn't

accept her." He told him.

"Well, she wasn't hurt when you rejected her. She recently got married.

I'd like to know why you left Kyoto and why you are here?" Miki replied.

He answered Miki's questions. He asked Miki of what he knows about Utena.

Miki told him about what he knew of the Tenjou family and of Utena.

Miki had stayed most of the summer. Shortly after the had left, Utena and

Touga went for a long ride. Utena was used to Touga's presence. She was

also no longer annoyed by it. They had become good friends. Touga wished

that Utena would want more than friendship from him and prayed daily to

the gods for this.

When they were several miles out, it started to rain. Utena and Touga saw

that it was a drizzle. However Utena said "I think that we should head

back home before this rain gets any worse." Touga agreed with her, they

turned the horses around and headed for home.

They were halfway home when the rain got worse. It went from a drizzle to

a heavy downpour. "There is no way we can make it home in this. Let's find

some shelter and wait till it stops. Then we'll head home." Touga

suggested."

Utena nodded her head in agreement. They rode out a few feet when it

started to thunder. Utena's horse got very frightened when he heard it.

Utena tried to calm the horse down. It did not work. When the horse heard

the thunder again, he rose his front legs. He also threw Utena off and ran

away, in another direction.

Touga saw Utena's horse run off. He also saw that she wasn't on it. He

franticly looked for her. Utena was unconscious when Touga found her.

Touga got off of his horse and picked her up. He got back on his horse

with Utena still in his arms. He rode off to find shelter for the two of

them.

It was almost nightfall when Touga found some shelter. It was a small

house. Touga knocked on the door. After waiting for a few minutes, he

opened the door and let himself and Utena in. There was no light and no

one in the house. He found a futon and placed Utena on it. He then checked

to see if she was alive. Touga found that she was and thank the gods.

Touga found some wood and placed it in the fireplace. He then lit it.

Touga then went to Utena and removed the outer layer of her riding

clothes. They tightly clung to her. Once they were off, he quickly took

them to the fireplace to dry. Touga also took the outer layer of his

clothing off and placed them near Utena's clothes. He found some blankets

and went back to the futon with them.

Utena was still unconscious. Her inner clothing clung tightly to her body and.

Touga could see right through it. He admired the curves of her body.

Touga was tempted to take her, especially when he could see her breasts

through her inner clothing. He decided not to. It was against his principals.

Touga took one of the blankets and wrapped it around Utena.

He had another blanket wrapped around him. He stayed up the rest

of the night by her side, waiting for her to wake up.

Early in the morning Utena woke up. The storm had stopped and sunlight

pierced throughout the small house. She sat up and looked around the

house. She didn't know where she was, or how she got there. Utena then

saw Touga sleeping in a sitting position, near her. "However I got here,

Touga must have brought me here." She thought. Utena was touched by Touga

staying by her side, but not surprised. When she removed the blanket that

covered her, Utena realized that she was wearing only her outer clothing.

Utena got up and looked for the rest of her clothes. She found them at the

fireplace next to Touga's. The fire had gone down. While Touga was still

sleeping, she got dressed.

When she was dressed, Utena went to the kitchen and looked for something

for her and Touga to eat. The soft noises she made woke Touga up. He

rubbed his sore muscles and saw that Utena wasn't on the futon. He stood

up and walked to the fireplace. Touga only saw his clothes. He quickly got

dressed. Once he was dressed, Touga looked for Utena.

He didn't look too far. He saw that she was in the kitchen look for

something. "Good morning Utena. How are you feeling?" Touga asked her.

Utena looked up at him and smiled. "Good morning to you Touga. I'm fine

except that my head hurts a little. Can you tell me where we are and how

did we get here?" She replied.

Touga was mesmerized by her smile. He replied "When it started to

thunder, your horse threw you off and ran away. You were knocked out by

the fall. When I found you, I picked you up and rode with you till I found

this small house. Because no one was there, I let myself in. Once I was

in, I placed you on the futon. I then lit a fire in the fireplace and took

off your outer clothing. I placed them near the fireplace to dry. After

that I found some blankets and placed one of them around you. I must have

fallen asleep while staying by your side, waiting for you to wake up."

Again, Utena wasn't too surprised at this. She walked up to Touga and

kissed him on the cheek. "I was trying to find us something to eat but

there is nothing here." She said afterwards.

Touga couldn't help smiling after that kiss. He felt as if the gods had

handed him a gift. "Don't worry about it. We'll find something on the way

home." He said to her.

"We can both ride your horse together. There is no need for me to ride

alone and for you to walk." Utena suggested when Touga put her on his

horse. Touga was stunned when she said that. He got on the horse, with

Utena in front of him and one hand on the reigns and the other on Utena's

waist. Utena blushed slightly. They then rode away from the small house.

Lord Tenjou was relived when he saw Touga and Utena. He was curious to

know what happened to them when he saw them come back on one horse instead

of two. He would find out the truth when they saw him.

"I'm sorry for making you worry about me, when Touga and I didn't come

home last night. As you know Touga and I went for a long ride. During our

ride, it began to rain. We decided to turn around and head back home. We

were halfway home when the rain got worse. Touga and I decided to find

some shelter, till the rain stopped. Nothing happened while we were in

that shelter." Utena told her father.

"You left one question unanswered. How come you and Touga came home on

one horse?" Lord Tenjou asked his daughter.

"Oh, it started to thunder. My horse got frightened and threw me off.

The horse then ran away. Touga found me and we then found some shelter

afterwards." She answered.

Lord Tenjou looked at Touga and knew that his daughter spoke the truth.

He was glad that nothing really bad had happened to them.

"May I walk with you in the garden?' Touga asked Utena that night."

"Sure, I'm not doing anything tonight." She answered.

They walked into the garden. Touga spotted a fragrant white rose. He

picked it and placed it in Utena's hair. "Utena if you were to fall

in love with someone, what would that ideal person be like?" He asked

her.

Utena couldn't believe that Touga was asking her this. No one had ever

asked her what she thought. Not even Miki. She looked Touga in the eye and

said "It would have to be someone who would love me for who I am. He would

also have to let me be myself, not see me as an ornament and a maiden

to bear him sons." She told him truthfully.

Touga smiled and wondered if the gods were with him tonight. There was

something he had to do, even if Utena slapped him for it. He pulled her

close to him. He took her in his arms and kissed her softly on the lips.

After they broke from that kiss, Utena's face turned beet red. She was too

stunned to slap Touga. She then turned around and ran out of the garden.

Touga again smiled. As he walked out of the garden, he saw the white rose

that Utena wore. It had fallen down on the ground when Utena ran out of

the garden. He picked it up and took it with him.

On his way to his chamber, Touga saw Lord Tenjou. "Touga, may I have a

word with you, before you retire?" He asked Touga.

"Yes, you may." He answered. Touga wondered what Lord Tenjou wanted to

talk to him about. Lord Tenjou took Touga to a place where they could

talk.

"I would like to know who you really are. This arrived last night (he

hands him a scroll). It arrived by a messenger." He said to Touga.

"All I will say is that I'm really a nobleman from Kyoto ,seeking a

maiden that will love me for the man that I am, not because of my wealth

and power. Also, your daughter is the only maiden that has captured my

heart. With your consent, I would like to one day make her my wife. I'd

also like her consent too." He told Lord Tenjou.

Lord Tenjou thought for a moment. He then said "You remind me a little of

myself when I was young. You have my consent to marry her because I know

that you'll take good care of her and make her happy. As for her consent,

knowing her you'll probably never get it till you're as old as me. I think

that I can help you there."

Touga looked at the scroll and said "It appears that this has been opened

and resealed."

"So it has." Lord Tenjou answered non-chalontly. He then walked away.

Once he was in his chamber, Touga opened the scroll and read it. It said:

"Return to Kyoto at once. The nobleman of Kyoto insists on your presence.

They want their king to return from his travels.

Saionji"

After reading it Touga got his things together. He hated to leave Utena

but he had to face his duty as a king. He got a blank scroll and wrote

something down. After he finished writing Touga rolled it up and tied it

up. Touga left his chamber and crept into Utena's chamber. He placed the

scroll near Utena. For a moment he looked at Utena's sleeping face. "I'm

going to miss you my beautiful feisty maiden. I wished that I could have

taken you back to Kyoto as my wife. Unfortunately, I can't because I don't

know what is in your heart. You'll make a wonderful queen." He whispered.

Kneeling next to Utena, Touga kissed her softly on the lips. The kiss was

light enough that it did not wake her up. Touga then crept out the chamber

and left for Kyoto.

Bright sunlight peered thru the chamber and on Utena's face. It had

awakened her. She sat up and stretched. When she was more alert, she saw

next to her pillow a scroll. Utena opened it and it read:

"Utena,

Unfortunately I must leave here. I have to go to Kyoto on some business.

I'm going to miss seeing your beautiful face. You'll always be in my

thoughts and heart even though I may not be in yours.

Touga"

A tear went down on Utena's face. She couldn't believe that he was gone.

Against her will he had crept into her thoughts. "Touga was the first and

only man that I couldn't push out of my life, no matter how hard I tried.

He's also the only one that cares about what I thought. I hate to admit

this but I think love that handsome son of a bitch." Utena thought.

It was early autumn when Utena arrived in Kyoto. She had left about a

month after Touga had left. She had traveled with her father. Lord Tenjou

had told her that he had some business with the king. They were staying at

a friend's castle. Utena wanted to find Touga as soon as she arrived. Lord

Tenjou had convinced her against it and promised to help her look for him

when he was finished his business with the king.

While Utena was waiting for her father, a messenger came to her. He bowed

to her and said "Lady Utena, His majesty the king would like you to come

to palace and have tea with him and Lord Tenjou."

Whether she wanted to or not, Utena knew that she could not refuse such

an invitation. The messenger waited while Utena changed. She was dressed

in a jade green kimono with white roses. The messenger then escorted Utena

to the palace.

She was taken to a chamber. From the inside of the chamber, she could

tell that it belonged to a man. Utena admired the king's taste in decoration of the

chamber. She thought that it was an odd place to have tea and thought for

a moment that this was a trick of the king's to get her in bed. She then

realized that she was meeting her father here and that the king would

never try anything in her father's presence.

Utena heard the door slid open. She saw her father and to her surprise,

Touga was next to him. "You are the last person I'd thought that I'd see

here. I was expecting the king coming with father." She said to Touga."

Lord Tenjou laughed and said "My daughter, Touga is the king. I've know

that since the night he left."

Utena didn't think that was very funny. She picked up a teacup and threw

it at Touga. He ducked and the cup smashed against the wall. Lord Tenjou

had just left the chamber, knowing that Touga could handle this himself.

"You lying son of a bitch!" She shouted when she threw another teacup

at him. Touga again ducked. Before she could throw something else, Touga

grabbed her hand and held it.

"Utena I'm very sorry to deceive you. I had my reasons. Let me explain."

He said to her.

She calmed down a little. "Well this had better be good!" Utena said to

him.

Touga told Utena his story and his feelings for her. 'What makes you

think that I'm going to say I love you and want to become your wife.!?'

She answered.

Touga smiled and pulled Utena close to him and kissed her passionately on

the lips. Utena pushed him away. "How could you leave me without saying

goodbye to me in person? I missed you since you left." She said when she

caught her breath. Before she could say another word, Touga cut her off

and kissed again.

He picked her up bridal style and said "Tomorrow will be our wedding day. Now let's

pick up where we left off, that night in the garden." He placed her on the

bed and deeply kissed Utena. She softly moaned as Touga's tongue thoroughly

explored the cavern of her mouth.

After they came out of that kiss, Touga began to peel off the many

layers of Utena's kimono. When she was only in her inner white kimono, Touga began

plant light kisses on Utena's face and neck. He then removed the final layer and laid her

on the bed. Before going any further, Touga quickly removed his clothing.

Utena admired her lover's slender muscular body. She let out a series of moans and

mews while Touga's hands explored every inch of her body. He soon replaced his

hands with his tongue. Touga kissed her face, neck and breast. He thoroughly

devoured each breast till his lover’s nipples were fully hardened.

From there he planted light kisses on the valley between her breast to her stomach. Utena let out a loud moan as Touga began to lick her womanhood.

She ran her fingers through his long crimson hair. He licked her till she came

in his mouth. After licking her clean, Touga placed a couple of fingers inside of

her. He wiggled them inside of her. His sapphire eyes gazed into Utena's crystal

blue ones. Touga watched her features as she climaxed again. He wiped his

fingers on the sheet.

The two lovers deeply kissed each other again. Utena instinctively opened her

legs .“ This is going to hurt." Touga told her before entering her. As he expected,

Utena screamed out in pain when he broke her virgin barrier. Touga kissed her

Tear streamed face and waited till Utena was ready for him. Utena placed her

Utena placed her arms around his neck. She pulled Touga in for a kiss.

Instinctively he knew that she was ready. He began pumping slowly into her.

Utena's pain soon melted into pleasure. She began moaning out Touga’s

name. Utena wrapped her legs around Touga's waist and placed a leg on his

back. She began moving along with him.

Touga kept going at a slow even pace. He wanted the pleasure to last longer for

The two of them. Utena surprised him a little when she demanded him to go

harder. Which he did. Touga's manhood could feel that Utena was coming close

to her next climax. After a few more thrusts, Utena finally came. Touga soon

followed after and released his hot seed inside her. He stayed inside of her till

his cock was no longer hard. He pulled out of her and placed the blanket over

them.

"Did I please you well?" Touga asked her.

"Very well." She replied before falling asleep. Touga wrapped his arms around

her and then sleep overtook him. They were married the next day and nine

months later, Utena gave birth to their firstborn daughter.

AN: Just to let you know this story was originally a couple of chapters from an

old Inuyasha fic of mine called 1001 Nights. A friend suggested that I add a

lemon to it and do it as a one shot.
