Beast To Be Tamed

Their gasps mirrored each other’s as the monster lay in the light of The Blessed Mother with the human.

They were each other’s perfect twin. One with ivory skin, one with dark. One with light hair, one dark. One with unflawed skin, one marked with the pains of his battles. One human, one monster. They mirrored each other in most physical ways, and even in some mental ways.

Alucard let out a very un-Alucard-like mewl and arched back, digging his claws into the crude pillow beneath his head.

Anderson lifted his head from the pale monster’s stomach and smiled slightly. “That was new.”

“Shut your fucking face.” Alucard hissed, angry that he was so weak in the presence of the Paladin. Every time he was near Angel Dust, he went weak. Everything about him made him bend and become malleable like putty.

Anderson smiled and ran his fingers lightly over the pale, quivering flesh of the monster that was once all over the news, only two weeks earlier. What once had seemed like a great killer, what had once been feared by all, man and woman, child and adult, now seemed so weak, and so easy to bend to his will. And he did it all for the people. He had no feelings for this monster that was once so feared.

Or, did he . . . .?

Integra leaned against the table and pushed her hair out of her face. “I suppose you all know why we are all here.” She paused and looked up at all of the eyes. All of the protestant knights were there. They even had the highest ranks of Iscariot there. All were quiet, watching her intently, but the fatigue was evident on their knowledge-hungry faces.

“There is a new threat. The threat was once so helpful to us by reducing the number of his power-hungry fledglings. But now, he has been cast into a deep anger, causing him to become, once again, a threat to all man-kind.” She paused again, running her fingers through her hair. “No one in Europe is getting any sleep over this. He jumps from one place to another so we have no clue where he is.

“And I have called you here so I may share with you some of the most critical information that we have received. A man has recorded a tape in which holds a meeting with our once tame vampire. It is brief, and the details are hard to sort out, but it WILL help us to track him down and . . .” She paused, her body shaking with weariness and misery. “And destroy him.”

She managed to look back up at her audience, slightly relieved that there was more looks of pain mirroring her own throughout the room. “I know that in all of our hearts, we all shared some kind of friendship towards him. We all cared for him, and even now, we miss his mocking smiles and taunting words. No matter how we hated it when he was around, we now all pine for them. But, he must be stopped.

“Here is the video with has the meeting with our new Alucard.” She turned and pushed the waiting tape into the cassette player, and turned her face up to the buzzing screen. Slowly, the details sorted out, and the whole room could see what was going on.

“I’ve found him! I’ve finally found him! After weeks and weeks of searching, I’ve finally been able to track him down. This is for you, Hellsing, so you may track him down and kill him!” A static, excited voice appeared, and on the screen, they could see nothing but rocks and crags.

“He certainly looks to be a dangerous opponent, but I’m sure you can handle him!” The voice, again, sounded excited, but all in the same, sounded wounded and scared. Then he came into view.

Alucard was standing on a rocky outcropping, his long black cape billowing out behind him in the wind. His hair tumbled even wilder than his cape, and its length reaching the near end of the cloth around his shoulders. He appeared to be staring out over London, but he then quickly turned around, his eyes blazing in the light of The Blessed Mother. His eyes held no whites. They were simply red, taken over by some unknown rage, with wide, cavernous slits carved deep in the middle. He let out a loud inhuman snarl, baring fangs that appeared to be at least three inches long.

“It appears that this is the end for me!” The man stated sadly. “I hope this video will give you all enough information to help destroy this threat!” The camera wheeled around wildly, but then it fell and hit the ground, and it could see nothing but the dew covered rocks before it. Screams were heard above the snarling, but the screams soon became gurgling, and the snarls became low rumbles, muffled against the presumed victim’s neck.

Integra turned off the video and sighed sadly. “So we know he is somewhere is the untamed area of London. I know of his weaknesses, but I will not force anyone to go fulfill the duties I set out.” She gazed around the room. “It will be of your own choosing to take this demon out!” And with an added emphasis of her fist hitting the table top, she listed out his doom.

“Alucard never really liked women, so men would be the thing to use to seduce him. Of course, his main food source is blood, so that would add to it. The Sun and all holy items have no effect to him, so the volunteer would have to bring him back here so we may keep him in captivity until we may figure out on how to defeat him. Now, who will take up this monstrous task?”

The room remained in silence as the many men around the room considered the chances of them coming out alive. “I’ll do it.” A voice finally came, and all red-rimmed eyes turned to the Father.

“You? I don’t think that is a very good idea, Anderson.” Integra whispered, the weariness now coming through plainly at the fact that only one volunteered. “When Alucard was around, you and he were the worst of enemies.”

Alexander Anderson stepped forward. “Alucard did have some feelings for me, but I never returned them. He often offered immortality to me, offering a life with him. But I always refused. That may be what sent him into that rage, but I doubt it. I believe that I am actually the best chance of taking care of this problem.”

Integra nodded slowly. “Yes, I remember now. He often would sit in silence . . . Alright, Alexander Anderson; you are the one who is going to take care of this threat. We give you all of our best wishes, and we bid you farewell.”

Alucard leaned against the moss-covered wall and closed his tired eyes. The monster had to run all of the time, and he was getting tired of it.

“If only I could find a good place . . . . A place where they wouldn’t find me.” Alucard let his head roll to the side, then opened his eyes. He gazed at the low fire, his thoughts contemplating over his tame past with the Hellsing organization. He growled, low in this throat when he remembered the commands he was given; the things he was told to do. He was a monster, and monsters are not creatures to control.

“Hello, cave-dweller.” A low, heavily accented voice entered the cave. “May I join you by the fire? It’s awfully cold out here.”

Alucard sprang to his feet and whipped towards the cave mouth. “Stay back, human. None are welcome here! Leave, before I decide to feed on your blood.”

“I highly doubt that.” Anderson stepped into the light of the fire, smiling at the vampire. “Hello Alucard. It’s been awhile.”

Alucard’s eyes widened. “Alexander . . .” He whispered, his body tensing even more. “What are you here for? Are you here to refuse me again and hurt me?” Alucard opened his mouth, letting his fangs lengthen. “No! I won’t let you stomp all over me again! Leave now or-”

Anderson walked forward slowly, almost lazily, and pressing his body against the vampire’s. “Or what? What would you do to me?” He smiled and wrapped his arms around Alucard’s waist, pulling him ever closer. “I actually came to tell you that ever since you left, it’s hurt.” He cocked his head to the side. “Do you know where, vampire?”

Alucard slowly shook his head, hesitant at first. He didn’t want to believe. He didn’t want to believe that the event that he had dreamed about for so long was finally coming true.

“It hurts here, Alucard.” Anderson enveloped Alucard’s smaller hand in his own, and guided it over his heart. “It hurts every day. I wanted to come here to tell you that.”

The Count stared in unbelief up at the man he had loved for so long. “Alexander?” He whispered softly, reaching up to the tan face. “It’s true?”

Anderson smiled and pressed Alucard’s hand against his face. “Of course it is, you silly vampire. Since when have I lied to you?”

Alucard looked down, towards the inferno. “It’s too good to be true.” He pushed himself away from the priest. “I won’t believe you. You’ve hated me for so long, refusing my offers to live with me. Now, all of a sudden, you’re deeply, madly in love with me? I don’t think so. Leave now, Angel Dust, and maybe I’ll spare your life.”

Anderson laughed. “Inane Alucard! If you keep denying yourself of all of the things you want, then you’ll live on for all perpetuity alone and unhappy. Please Alucard, come to me. Love me, like I know you want to.” He stepped forward and pulled the ancient monster into his arms, ignoring the struggles he was putting up.

“No! Let me go! I don’t need you anymore! I am my own monster, I can survive!” He struggled, pushing against Anderson’s strong chest, but he knew, even with all of his vampiric strength, he would not be able to pull away. His soul, his body, was willingly relaxing in the Paladin’s arms, but his mind was screaming, telling him to get away, to get as far away from this man as possible.

“Alucard, stop this nonsense right this instant.” Anderson snapped and grabbed Alucard’s chin. “Stop fighting me. I know this is what you want. Now, give into it. Alucard, I love you, I truly do.” Despite Alucard’s yanks as his hand, he pulled the vampire forward, and in the flickering light of the fire, he kissed him.

Alucard suddenly sat, dead still, with his eyes still wide. His mind was still screaming at him. It said, Run, Alucard! You big buffoon! Get away! He lies to you! He wants to kill you! But his body was closed off to the commands of his mind. He let his head fall back as two, large, powerful hands pressed to his lower back. He let himself be controlled like a puppet, with Anderson as the puppeteer, pulling his strings and making him dance.

Anderson smiled and ran his fingers over the smaller man’s back. When Integra was giving the briefing, she made it sound difficult. But this, this was all too easy. He already had Alucard under his control. He already had the ancient vampire doing what he wanted.

The pale skinned monster shuddered and closed his eyes. It felt as if he was floating in his dream. Everything was playing out as he thought it should. “Alexander-”

“Hush, vampire. There is no need for words now.” Anderson pulled Alucard up just enough so he could nuzzle at his neck. “Everything is going to be taken care of.” Much to his surprise, his body reacted without his minds control. He picked up the Count and carried him to the crude bed that Alucard slept on.

“Alexander, I’m not ready for this . . .” Alucard whispered as the blankets slowly met with his back. “I don’t feel ready-”

“Hush.”

Alucard woke with a start. “Uhhh . . .” He sat up slowly, his ancient body creaking like old wood.

“Good morning, moonshine.”

Alucard jumped and turned to look at his side. “Alexander?”

“The one and only.” Angel Dust lay there, the blankets hardly covering his lower half. “You seem scared. Don’t you remember what happened?”

The bewildered vampire started to shake his head, but stopped. It all came back in a rush.

Alucard screamed as Anderson pushed into him. “Alexander!”

“Hush now, Alucard. What did I say earlier?”

“Th-there’s n-no need f-for words.” Alucard stuttered, his mind blank from the pleasure tearing through his body.

“That’s right. Good boy. Now, try not to make any more sounds, or I won’t let you finish. Alright?”

The Count nodded slowly, taking deep breaths.

Alucard snarled and hurriedly got to his feet. “I know what you’re up to, human. Don’t think that you can trick me.” He got dressed, but kept his back to the Paladin, who remained in the bed.

“I have no idea what you are talking about, Alucard.”

“Yes you do!” You were sent here to kill me! But, no, Anderson, I will not let you do that!”

“Alucard!” Alexander snapped loudly. “Do not play out that scene! Do not even think of it!”

“Why shouldn’t I? Why? Do you not want me to know the truth? I could feel you tense when I screamed your name! I know you don’t want me!” Alucard turned again and walked briskly to the cave mouth, his cloak flapping behind him.

Alexander got up, and without dressing, he walked up behind the Count. “Alucard, love, listen to me. I love you, and nothing will change that. You have to believe me. You must understand that I have never made love to a man before! I am a priest! Sodomy is not allowed! But I did it anyway. Because I love you.”

Alucard snorted, staring out at the city in the distance. “Go back to your pitiful race, human. I have no need for you here, unless you wish for me to drink you.”

Angel Dust felt sadness wash over him; an inexplicable sorrow that he did not expect. “Alucard.” He murmured, and hugged the vampire from behind. “Alucard.”

The monster’s breath hitched sharply, but he did not pull away. He actually felt tears on his neck. Surely he could not summon up the will to cry in a few inconsequential seconds?

Alucard turned his head and looked at Bayonet’s pain stricken face. “Alexander?” He reached up and brushed the tears from his face. “Are you . . . .?”

Alexander pulled away, turning his back. “I’ll abscond then, if you truly want me to.”

Count watched sadly as the Catholic priest dressed, and walked back over. “Alexander.”

“Farewell, Alucard. I hope that you do not forget me.” He kissed the vampire lightly on the lips, and started to walk away.

Think you idiot! Think! Alucard thought franticly, trying to find a way that would keep the model-bodied man there.

“Alexander!” Alucard called out quickly, not wanting him to get too far away.

“Yes?” Angel Dust turned and looked up at the darkly clad creature.

“I cannot allow you to leave!”

“Why is that?” Alexander asked, suddenly very wary of the vampire.

“I cannot let you leave for you may reveal my hideaway.”

Alexander tried to hide his smile as he walked up the slope, back to the cave.
