An Unexpected Turnabout

An Unexpected Turnabout

A/N: Howdy ya’ll! I’m back on the fanfiction scene after a long break and I’ve noticed something…there aren’t enough Syao-chan fics. Meaning Syaoran acting like a femme boy XD…what can I say, I like my shotacon. Well, frankly I don’t care whom Syaoran is with in a fanfic as long as he acts ukey and whatnot. Well, due to a massive amount of people in the Syaoran/Touya region of the fandom, I have put off my Syaoran/Eriol just for you. Frankly, I like S/S and T/Y but like I said, this is just a guilty pleasure. I’m realistic in my stuff though so if you don’t like the down and dirty parts of butt-love then go away. Also…beware of future bondage and maid fetishes! Hey, don’t like it? Write your own story then. There aren’t enough of these so I’m writing one myself.

As far as personalities go…well I’m making the assumtion that Touya is sadist and Syaoran is sadomasochist. So let’s just go with that m’kay?

This story is written in third person from Touya’s view

Chapter 1: One Lonely Sunday

The rain pattered endlessly against the glass. Only those whose minds were preoccupied with staying busy noticed its rhythm. Touya stared out the window, tracing each droplet’s progress as it traveled down the sill to form small puddles he would later have to clean up. Yukito seemed so far away to him. A phone call began to replay itself in his ear. We just can’t be together anymore…things have changed…I’m sorry.

Yukito had moved to America to study at a culinary school. They had tried to keep a long distance relationship but apparently Yukito needed physical contact more than Touya did. He understood why, but had trouble accepting it. He had been convinced that Yukito was the one and only; his one and only.

Something shuffled next to him before stretching and yawning. Touya looked down to see his sister’s best friend staring out the same window. ‘Best friend.’ It was so hard to consider Syaoran merely a friend to Sakura. They had seemed to have a wonderful relationship but as it turned out, it was merely juvenile feelings, or puppy love. They went their separate ways and Sakura found true love in the arms of Tomoyo. But where does that leave Syaoran? He was still her friend and confidant. He came over as often as he could and had become a close member of the family.

It was a difficult adjustment for Touya. He had always regarded Syaoran as a menace to the family, but it was only in a playful way. He and Syaoran had been at odds merely because it was their societal roles. Touya was the protective older brother and Syaoran the defensive boyfriend. But, now that he had retired his position, Touya was lost on how to treat him. Therefore, every time he came over he awkwardly said a few words and passed him off silently.

Syaoran returned Touya’s gaze which he only just realized he was giving. “What’s wrong?” The boy looked innocently at the older man who was at least a head taller than him.

“Nothing.” In truth, Syaoran’s stare had made him nervous, but years of practice allowed him to hide what he truly felt with a false front. ‘But why am I nervous.’ The thoughts made him uneasy as he settled deeper into the couch.

“I like rainy days.” Syaoran had once again interrupted the silence between them. The words were useless and Touya figured he was only trying to open some sort of conversation.

“Yes, it’s peaceful.”

“It always smells good, and if you stand outside you feel numb.”

Touya looked back at the boy whose stare he had been trying to avoid. “You like to stand in the rain?”

Syaoran nodded while still staring out the window. “If you stand long enough you get covered in cold water until you can’t feel your limbs anymore. There’s no sound except for the rain and the air smells as fresh as if it were new.”

Touya had nothing to reply with. He always shut himself inside and thought deeply on the days that it had rained. He had never considered going outside…

Syaoran grabbed a stray blanket and wrapped himself in it, pulling his feet up off the floor and tucking his knees under his chin. With his back to Touya he looked a lot like Yukito used to.

‘Yuki…’ Touya shook his head in frustration. He would always love Yuki, but it just wasn’t meant to be. His thoughts mulled themselves over in his head. He imagined himself with Yukito again. They were on a balcony overlooking the ocean and Touya was gracefully touching Yukito’s face before leaning in to pepper his neck with kisses. The moaning he received in return incited him to continue, despite him knowing deep down that it was a fantasy. He pulled himself away to kiss Syaoran on the lips…

Touya nearly leapt from the couch. ‘What?’ Had he really just imagined Syaoran in Yukito’s place? He rested his forehead in his large hands and sighed. ‘I need to eat something.’

Luckily, his sister rushed into the room at that moment and shook Syaoran out of his sleepy stupor before telling him gently that dinner was ready. Touya watched nervously as the sleepy figure next to him stretched his arms above his head and stood up slowly with ‘the giant’ following behind. He had to resist the temptation to consider Syaoran like Yukito. How can I be so quick to find a substitution? And my sister’s ex no less. He stiffly sat down as the smell of steamed pork buns and tepanyaki wafted to his nose (damn I’m making myself hungry). He picked up the bowl of steamed rice and served himself a decent helping before passing it on to Tomoyo who had been studying with Sakura during the last hour.

Touya looked up to see Syaoran sitting directly across from him, waiting patiently for the meal to start. Touya grabbed his rice bowl and held it near his face to avoid eye contact, but that didn’t stop him from noticing Syaroan’s delicate eating habits. He gently held the chopsticks as though they weren’t in his hands at all; Touya surmised that this was due to his upbringing around so many women. He would slowly chew his food, as though deciding whether to swallow it or not, before calmly closing his eyes and doing so. Touya remarked that this aspect was nothing like Yukito and chastised himself for once again, thinking about either of them in that context.

He would have loved to sit and enjoy his meal as he normally would but his stomach felt wrong and he didn’t like the idea of sitting at the table fro much longer. After finishing half of it he excused himself from the table and slowly walked to his room.

The evening seemed to pass in a torturously slow way, the kind of way that seems like it’s been forever but when you glance at the clock it’s still the same time as when you last looked. He heard the distant laughing of his sister and her friends; they must have been watching TV, and desperately tried to fall asleep.

The clock read 12:10 AM when he opened his eyes next. The house was deathly quiet and the rain seemed to have stopped. ‘He’s gone.’ Touya sat up and decided to quench is midnight thirst with some water from the kitchen. Stepping outside his room he involuntarily avoided a curled up lump in the family room floor. The light from the refrigerator blinded him as he grabbed at some ice and filled a glass with cool tap water. Halfway through the drink he sputtered and set the glass back down on the counter. ‘Was that lump Syaoran?’ He slowly walked back to family room to get a closer look. It was indeed Syaoran, and by the looks of it he was a rough sleeper. He had been asleep in a sleeping bag on the couch but the bag was now on the floor and twisted up in a spiral around his body. The pillow wasn’t even in the pillowcase.

Touya stared. Yukito had always been a gentle sleeper, barely moving once he found a good position. ‘Dammit. There I go again.’ He was so used to control, so used to being in charge of his own thoughts, but now he was lost again. It was a crossroads and he needed to make a decision.

Syaoran stretched his arms up sleepily and mumbled before settling in a more comfortable position; he was now facing Touya, who in turn decided that it was time to leave. But something held him back; something made him want to watch the boy’s gentle rhythmic breathing. Something made him wish he had left when he could have.

“Touya?”

There was no use playing it off, but he didn’t want to admit he was staring either. “You fell off the couch.”

Syaoran looked around sleepily. “Yea, I guess so.” He sat up. “Uh…goodnight?”

Touya wished he could say what was on his mind. He wished he could boldly ask him what he wanted to; but this was his sister’s ex. He was in no place to do so. ‘It’s just because of Yuki. I’m screwed up because of Yuki.’ He solemnly stood up and whispered goodnight before walking back to his own room.

‘Maybe…if I sleep on it.’

AFTERWARD: Ah yes…no lemony goodness yet…or bondage or maid’s outfits. Just poor Touya thinking he’s gone crazy. Anyone who thinks Syao-chan is not attractive is crazy. Don’t worry Touya lovers, he’ll get evil later on >:3 oh mmmyes…but for now he’s getting over a break up. Which is also why he’s not himself mind wise…poor baby.

Er…ages. Syaoran is 16 and Touya is 21 and still living at home b/c of school. Yea…College ya know. He’s studying to be, uh, a DOCTOR YEA! Or a teacher…Yea I like that one better. A history professor; yes. Me likey.
