This is the revised version of the first part of the High School Days Trilogy, which is another one of my older stories. My first attempt at this was a massive failure, especially the first part, but now I am correcting those mistakes. I'll be revising the other two parts as well. If you're reading this on the Grey Archive then you may ignore most of this prefiction author's note. Most characters belong to Clamp. If you get angry at my use of the dubbed names, and if you're reading this on aff.net, then check my profile for my Card Captors policy. This small series completely ignores the second movie and starts in Sakura's junior year of high school. Lee and Sakura haven't seen each other since the end of the series.

He finally had convinced both his mother and the elders of his clan that there was nothing he could learn at home and he would flat out refuse to marry Meilin. Yelan, his mother, seemingly didn't even approve of him even daydreaming about Sakura. It had gotten so bad that he couldn't keep in written contact with Sakura, until he started sending his letters via Madison. Now, he was back in Readington and would finally be reunited with Sakura and tell every single feeling he had for her before her brother tries to get her to be with Julian.
"Lee, we have arrived," Wei, his long time butler, says as he parked the car. Lee gets out of the car and helps Wei unload the trunk.

"I think we may have gotten too big of a place. Couldn't we have gotten the old apartment, Wei?" Lee asks looking around his new home.
"The old place was already rented out, and you do need the room to train Lee."
"Yeah, so when do I start attending Readington High?"
"Tomorrow,"
"Apparently mother didn't want this to be a vacation." Lee says starting to unpack one of the boxes.
"Don't let your mother get you down. She never got over your father's death."
"I know. Well, let's see how much unpacking we can do in a day.

Sakura Avalon had her forehead pressed against the cool metal of her locker door. All of the stress and depression had almost broken her. She had Tori trying to revive her crush for his best friend Julian, she wasn't doing too well in math, and almost every creep in the school was hitting on her.

"Good Morning Mrs. Toliver." Sakura says greeting her home room teacher.
"The office just called me, they want you to come and escort a new student around campus. He's in your grade and in my homeroom so you'll not have too much trouble Ms. Avalon."

"I didn't want to get both our hopes up, so I just decided to keep it to myself until I knew that my family wouldn't change their minds. As the two walked down the hallway, they didn't notice that they were being watched.
'So, that's the boy that Sakura has pined for...well, he'll have to learn that Sakura belongs to the Yellow Dragons even if she doesn't know it yet.' a junior with dark hair and even darker eyes thought as he looks at the retreating Sakura.
"Hey Leo, we've gotta get to homeroom. You know what the teacher said if we didn't show up one minute before the homeroom bell rings" another member says to the leader. They both wore a bandana with a yellow dragon on it. What distinguishes the leader from the other members is that the leader also wears a leather vest with a patch with the same dragon on the right side.
"That gimp teacher is such a jack ass." Leo says as he and his subordinate go down the hall.
"You heard what he said. He'll throw you right into detention and the principal said that if you were..."
"I know what he said...you don't have to remind me." Leo says frustrated at the authorities that were flexing their power over him.

"I can't believe you! How could you keep this from the one that's been helping you over the past five years! You are so mean and evil Lee Shaoran." Madison says as she, Sakura and Lee were in the middle of lunch.
"Man, you two just won't give me a break will you?" Lee asked mockingly.
"I would like a little consideration here, I was your messenger girl for a long time." Madison says returning Lee's mock anger.
"So, how's Meilin?" Sakura asked changing the subject.
"She has finally gotten over the fact I only will see her as a sister. The elders don't like that, but I don't really care what they think when it comes to them dictating to me who I should marry. Now, where's the rest of your friends?"
"They've got second lunch. The only classes we see Rita, Chelsea, and Nikki is gym. Zackery is still telling tall tales, but he was also given second lunch as well. I'm surprised that Sakura and me have similar schedules, but that's high school for you." Madison says leaning back in her chair. The conversation was cut short when the bell rang and the three departed for their next classes.

Lee was walking back to his apartment. He hoped that his luck would continue to hold out whenever he could get the courage to ask her out. Of course, he would have to find out if Tori was still living with her and her father. Lee then noticed that he was surrounded on all sides by a gang of thugs that looked like they were ready to pound him into hamburger meat.
"If you guys are the welcoming committee then you're a few hours late." Lee says sizing the group up in an attempt to see which guy was the easiest to get past.
"Listen Lee Shaoran, Sakura Avalon belongs to the Yellow Dragons even if she doesn't know it yet. So, stay away from her." Leo says coming towards Lee.
"Yellow Dragons...I didn't know Readington had a school yard gang. I don't think you can just make a claim on one person whether she knows or not. By the way, I must warn you that I'm a skilled martial artist. So, unless you also have more than thirteen years of training then I suggest you let me pass before someone gets hurt." Lee says as he prepared himself for an attack.
"I'm not afraid of you." Leo says as he threw a punch which was caught by Lee.
"Your movements are slow and uncoordinated. If the rest of your group is like this then I won't break a sweat." He explains while twisting Leo's wrist bringing the leader of the Yellow Dragons to his knees. Lee let's go and makes a break for it. Some of the gang members give chase, but Lee out maneuvers them and the underlings lose their prey.

Two months had quickly passed. Sakura and Lee had gone out on several dates by this time and their relationship was blossoming. Aiden Avalon, Sakura's father, had noticed the change in her demeanor. It was a welcomed change from the sad mood she had been in since that Lee boy had left Readington. Tonight, it was going to be rough for Sakura to try and go see Lee since Tori had come for a visit and had decided to stay for dinner. Aiden would let the two argue until it got to a point that Tori was being too overprotective and he would have to step in. "I don't think you would act like this if it was Julian that I was seeing. And for you're information, he told me that he was seeing Ruby!" Sakura shot back getting ready to stomp Tori's foot so hard that she hoped to break a bone in it.
"Look here Sakura..." Tori starts to say but their father decided to interrupt them by clearing his throat.
"Tori, back down son. Lee was here for dinner a couple of weeks ago, so your skewed view on him needs to be adjusted. I trust him not to hurt Sakura. I saw the look in his eyes , and it was the same look that I gave your mother when we were younger." Aiden says to his son who backed down after hearing that. Sakura gives her father a look of gratitude.
"Thanks dad," she says smiling.
"Go on Sakura, I've got to have a long talk with your brother." He says and Sakura shot up the stairs like a bullet.

"I'm glad that Wei stocked on chocolate ice cream." Lee says as he looked at the half empty carton of desert. "What's got you so upset?" Lee asks as he raps an arm around her.
"Tori decided that he needed some home cooking and paid a visit." Sakura says cuddling closer to Lee.

"Yes, but dad put him in his place. He's firmly on our side."
"I wish I could say the same about my mother."

"These aren't completely enslave spirits. They do have a will of their own to a point."
"You don't think any of our old master's enemies may come after us do you?" Yue asks.
"Sian is sealed up in the void card, but Akurax was only driven off."
"Teach them quickly Keroberos, for if that mage sucking vampire finds out..."
"I know, you don't have to remind me about the threat he poses."

Epilogue

'It's good to be back in Readington again. I hope that cousin of mine hasn't blown it with Sakura. Ah, there's Wei.' Meilin thinks as she approaches the butler.
"You're arrival is a few days sooner than expected, Meilin." Wei says getting her luggage.
"Aunt Yelan thought it wise I should get here as soon as possible."
"How is the mistress?"
She's still furious at my cousin, and so are the elders. I on the other hand figured out a long time ago that his heart belonged to Sakura." Meilin says as the two head for Lee's apartment
