Tomoyo's Deck - Prologue
I suppose this should start with a disclaimer: I do not own Card Captor Sakura, I do not make any money off of her, or this story. This is just for fun.
---------- Prologue: A slightly different world ----------
Mmm? Oh, hello. Come to hear a story have you? Well, I've got a good story to tell, but certain things in it might not seem right to you. Mmm? Say that again. Oh, you want to know what kind of things? Hah, well, I suppose it can't hurt to tell you.
You see, there are more than one way that things can happen, its the - wossname - alternate realities. So for every choice that someone makes, several different realities spring up: one for each choice. 'course, none of them know the other universes exist, that would beat the point, wouldn't it? But they are there all the same.
Maybe you know the story of a girl called Sakura? She was pretty famous as one of the most powerful mages around. Y'see, she's the one who found Clow's deck of cards, the Clow Cards, and made every last one of them here own! The final one was a bit of a dozy though, it went something like this...

"Return to your right form - CLOW CARD!" Sakura said in a loud voice. Loud, but not as confident as normal...this card, the sealed card...sealing it could mean that she would have to forget about Syaraon. But there was no way around it, was there? If she didn't seal it, all the people she knew - everyone in the city - would just stay gone forever!
The spirit in front of her, the girl who looked so sad, turned into the flowing energy that all the clow cards did, draining into the shimmering card that they all became, forming a clow card. The black barrier that had been around her flew out and wrapped around - "Syaraon!"
"Heh...I guess I had more magic left than you did, Sakura." He said with a grunt. He was a bit beat up, but fighting something you can't win against could do that. He even had to use his sword for support. "Now, change it!"
"But-but-" Sakura tried to say why she couldn't, that she didn't want him to forget - she wanted that even less than she wanted to forget him. But there was nothing to do about - she had to change the card, or else everyone would stay gone. Tomoyo, Meilin, Toya, Yukito, Kero.....
With tears in her eyes, Sakura said the words of her incantation, threw the card before her, swung her staff - and as she did, her own card the winged heart slipped out of her pocket, there was a flash of light and - !!!
When it settled down the card floated to Sakura. The two cards had merged together, becoming a Sakura Card called 'The Hope'. She stared at it sadly, and then at the boy, Syaraon, who she loved.
"Umm...I know you might not remember me...and I know this might cause you problems, but...but....but I love you...Syaraon...." She said quietly, knowing it was too late. Which is why she was so surprised when he looked up and said.
"Yeah. I love you too, Sakura."
And she lept into his arms.

Yeah - thats one way it happened, but thats not the reality that the story I am about to tell you happened in. Oh, don't worry, its pretty close - almost the same really. But there is one big difference, one VERY big difference. Heres how it happened in the world that I'm going to tell you about.

"But-but-" Sakura tried to say why she couldn't, that she didn't want the memories to go away to forget - she wanted that even less than she wanted to forget! But there was nothing to do about - she had to change the card, or else everyone would stay gone. All her friends, even Kero.....
With tears in her eyes, Sakura said the words of her incantation, threw the card before her, swung her staff - and as she did, her own card the winged heart slipped out of her pocket, there was a flash of light and - !!!
When it settled down the card floated to Sakura. The two cards had merged together, becoming a Sakura Card called 'The Hope'. She stared at it sadly, and then at the person who she loved.
"Umm...I know you might not remember me...and I know this might cause you problems, but...but....but I love you...Tomoyo...." She said quietly, knowing it was too late. Which is why she was so surprised when she looked up and said.
"Yeah. I love you too, Sakura! And I even got your confession on camera! Aaaaah, Sakura's Great Love finally admitted" Said Tomoyo, getting a dreamy look on her face.

AN: Hey - this is one of the Authors here! This chapter really is just one complicated way of saying that I'm not going to be paying compleat attention to the CCS Setting - I prefer Tomoyo/Sakura to Syaraon/Sakura. For those who are wondering, as far as this setting is concerned Syaraon is still having to beat Meilin off with a stick.
There will be a lot of lemon occurring in this story. It'll start in Chapter 2 at the latest, but I'll probably sneak some in in chapter one. So consider yourself warned. Of course, it is going up on /adult/ FanFiction, so that should go without saying...
And yes, the fact that The Hope tried to get rid of Tomoyo's memories does mean that she has some magic in this setting. But more on that later.
