Role Reversal
This is my first OHSHC fic ever!! So I'm kinda nervous about it...
Umm...yea, it's not smut but if the response is good, I'll write a li'l thingy to add on, if I find the time :(

Hikaru Hitachiin understood and respected the nature of sharing.
It might possibly have been because he was a twin.
If he had something that Kaoru did not, it would be second nature to give him half. He knew Kaoru would do the same any day.
Sharing, fairness and equality were all things he could relate to, and he enjoyed the fact that, if anything, he was generous. To Kaoru at least.
This was why when Kaoru had suggested a change of roles in the bedroom, Hikaru had truly considered it. At some point in the lazy afternoon the thought even excited him somewhat.
The idea of a dominant, forceful Kaoru taking the lead and controlling him completely was the seed of a fresh fantasy sprouting in his mind. Later on he’d add in the locations, costumes, props etc. to round things off nicely. He’d write the script over time; these things could never be rushed.
However he knew that this particular desire would probably never go as his mind thought it should. Hikaru was too keen to have an input into scenarios, often taking control completely. Kaoru, choosing to be rational and play along with it every time, never complained.
“All I’m saying is that it might be...interesting...” Kaoru said softly, shifting in his sun-lounger slightly. Hikaru glanced at his brother from behind his sun glasses, frowning slightly in thought.
It might be interesting, that was true…but Hikaru had no patience for pain. It had almost ripped his soul apart when he and Kaoru had had sex the first time.
He’d never forget the look of extreme displeasure on Kaoru’s beautiful face, the solitary tear running lopsidedly down his cheek, falling to land on the pillow silently.
Hikaru shook his head discreetly to rid himself of the distressing memory, blinking hard. Kaoru had later reassured him that the pain was only brief, and that the feeling afterwards was much more satisfying, but it still upset Hikaru that he had hurt the one person he cherished most in the world, as inevitable as it may have been.
“It doesn’t hurt for long...” Kaoru said lazily, looking completely relaxed and gorgeous in the golden sunlight. Hikaru frowned again.
Sometimes he hated the synchronisation of their minds. Sometimes he wanted his thoughts to remain private. But as long as they were together, Kaoru always knew what he was thinking.
It was useful for the most part, however.
“I’d like to one day...maybe...but-”
“You’re not ready yet, I know,”
“It’s not because I’m scared.”
“I know it’s not,”
“And it’s not because I don’t trust you,”
“Hikaru, I know. Shut up already...”
“…you shut up…”
