Shades of Time
Warning: If you don't like OC's don't read this. If you don't like the thought of the boys with a girl, don't read this. Please don't flame me just because this isn't yaoi. This is my first attempt at writing anything in the Saiyuki fandom, please be nice. Now that unpleasantness is behind us, let's move on, shall we.

The Merciful Goddess regarded the person standing in front of her curiously. It was certainly a strange request that had just been made.
“Are you so certain you want to do this? There will be no going back once it’s done,” s/he warned. “It may take you several lifetimes to find them again. You may not recognize them and they might not recognize you.”
“I’ll know them when the time comes and they’ll know me. I won’t give up on finding them. Ever.”
“I do admire your confidence in yourself and in them. If this is what you really want, I’ll grant my permission on one condition.”
“Name it.”
“That if, after five hundred years you haven’t found them, you return here and resume your place.”
“It will be done. Thank you, Merciful Goddess.”
“Well, this should be interesting to watch if nothing else,” s/he said, watching the other person walk away.

This is not the end
And so it was that one of Generals of the Southern Army willingly walked out of the gates of Heaven and into the world below.
