Strawberry Kisses

'...All the time?'
L blinked and turned to face the younger male who was chained to him.
'Sorry Raito-kun?' He asked, confused, as he bit into the hundredth strawberry of the day.
'That. Your obsession with strawberries. Do you really have to eat them all the time?' Raito replied sighing.
'Does Raito-kun not like strawberries?' L asked, obviously surprised that there was someone who didn't like the small red fruit.
Raito nodded. 'No. I can't say I do. It's gross seeing you eat it as well.'
L tilted his head to the side in amusement.
'What would Yagami-kun rather have me eat?' He laughed to himself, seeing Raito roll his eyes.
'Well... I don't know! Just not strawberries all the time. Or candy for that matter. It's really...'


L let his mind drift off. Raito was of on a health rant again. He smiled and rested his chin on his hand, nodding in the right places.
He stood up and knelt down near Raito.
The younger male stopped ranting and frowned.
'What are you...'


Raito was cut off mid sentence by the push of L's lips against his own.
L was the first to break the kiss as he stood up and calmly walked back to his seat.
Raito, on the other hand, sat in a daze. His tongue came out to wet his lips and he tasted a familiar fruit. Strawberries.
L picked up another strawberry and twirled it within his fingers.
'Does Raito-kun like strawberries now?' He asked, looking over as he put the whole fruit into his mouth and chewed.
'N... No.' Raito replied, his face flushed.
L lifted his hand to his mouth.
Chewed on his thumb.
And hid a secret smile.
A smile from the person he loved.
