Foreword and Forewarning
Yes, this story involves Kero. No, he does not have a human form at ANY point in the fic. If this bothers you so much that you cannot deal with it, you are always, of course, free to read something else. You came here voluntarily, and you can leave that way as well. Flames will not perturb me in the least; I expect them with this type of fic. Flames will also not convince me to change any part of my story, including any level of sexual content there may be, because everything is an integral part of the story. Simply put, get over it or go away.
If you're still here, there's a very important point I want to make. This story is not ultimately about sex, deviant sexual behavior, unorthodox partners, or breaking taboos. It is not about whether I or anyone else approve or not of what is going on between the characters. It is about the importance of keeping an open mind, of tolerance and being non-judgmental. It's about being happy for those you love if they are happy and not hurting anyone, whether or not you understand or agree with their choices.
No matter his form, Kero is not an animal. He is not human, but he is just as much a person as Yukito/Yue, and just like his brother, has an immense capacity to love. He cared for Clow, despite their issues, and he cares very much for Sakura. He has real thoughts and emotions that occasionally do run deeper than video games or his next pudding cup (gasp!). It's not his fault that he got stuck in a furry package. And if someone finally sees past his shape and loves him for who and what he is, it's not fair to condemn them for that. Kero shouldn't need to wish for a human form. He should be able to be happy and loved the way he is. Cold wet nose and all.
If you do choose to continue on and read this story, I ask only that you keep an open mind. If you do not feel capable of doing that, please feel free to introduce yourself to your browser's Back button and find something less distasteful to read.
