Soul Drinker: Vampire of Vampires
Prelude
The world was dark, stained so crimson as to be undistinguished with the deepest black. My best efforts were in vain, the stains so deeply ingrained in the fabric of the world, that no amount of cleansing would do it good. What I would clean, would be filthy again in but a few years. So I quit. My body may have been immortal, but decade after decade of this hopeless facade wore out my soul. Their blood was no longer sweet, their souls became less and less interesting, until it all melded together. It was the same thing over and over.
I cleaned one last spot more thoroughly, and using so much more energy, than I'd ever done before, and I gave up, Closing my eyes and ears on the doomed subjects of humanity forever.
The world went dark.
