So much red. Copper and rose hair tangled together, matted dark with the oozing stickiness. It looked so exquisite smeared across that pale skin, dark and slippery. He’d seen blood so many times before, from so many people. But even Schuldig could not deny this was among the prettiest blood he’d ever seen.
There was no reason for him to be so cruel. Then again, there was no reason for Ran to be walking around alone either. In their line of work they were never safe, not even for a quick trip to the hospital. Not even while he was visiting his poor, comatose sister. He ought to have known better. It was a mistake he would not have the chance to make again.
The German’s smile was wide and cruel as he hovered over Ran. It had been so easy to corner him in the alleyway behind the hospital. So naïve, Ran was. The first rule of being an assassin: never wander around unarmed. What on earth had the boy been thinking? Schuldig didn’t even have to open fire to get him down on his knees, with a switchblade held to his throat. He didn’t have to do him in so quickly. He was allowed to have a little fun first, wasn’t he?
Schuldig seized the boy’s hair, forcing his head back and kneeling down before him. The blade moved so easily through Ran’s skin, carving deep just beneath his jaw line. It was so warm, moved so easily between his fingers as the passed them between the folds of the wound, relishing in the pained cry it provoked.
“Let me go,” Aya growled, narrowing violet eyes at the German.
“Oh, but mein leibchen, I haven’t even gotten started yet.”
Schuldig tore through the buttons on the front of Ran’s jeans, forcing him about-face and up against the rough brick of the hospital’s exterior. A bruise began to rise to the boy’s cheek immediately as his face was smashed against the wall by the sudden movement. It was so hard not to cry out again, especially as Schuldig removed those blood-slicked fingers from his jaw, and down...
Ran’s pants were pushed around his knees, and he heard a malicious chuckle when Schuldig shoved his legs apart, slipping those gore-covered fingers easily into the boy’s body. Ran tremored, pushed himself harder against the wall. Perhaps if he tried hard enough, and wished sincerely enough, he could just melt right through the brick. But the boy had no such luck. It was only a few impatient moments of harsh finger-thrusting and scissoring before Schuldig withdrew his fingers again to work through the buckle of his own belt.
The German was so eager, so impatient to be inside. He was by no means a small man, and when he pushed into Ran’s body, it caused the boy to cry out sharply. Schuldig quickly brought the blade to his throat again, feral blue eyes narrowing as he leaned forward to snarl, “You keep quiet, or you’re dead.”
Quick, violent thrusts; violence was all Schuldig knew anymore. He seized Ran’s hair as he pounded into the boy. There was no room for mercy now. He’d come too far, and was too full of hatred and malice to care. Schuldig lost himself in it, lost himself in the rhythm of the vicious drive he’d fallen into. Ran’s cheek was scraping raw against the bricks, and he choked out a quiet whimper as Schuldig began to lose control, the knife sinking unintentionally into the boy’s throat.
It was running too deep, and the German hardly seemed to notice. Not even as the edge of the blade began to draw sickening cracks from Ran’s throat, slicing roughly through the trachea and off to the side again. Scarlet poured and pooled over Schuldig’s hand, and all it seemed to do was bring a smile to his face as he drove into the boy, harder by the moment…
Harder, rougher, and continuing long after the boy’s body went rigid and cold.
