All I've been dreaming of...

The world was at peace, and peace was boring. Taichi laid back on his couch, his feet hanging over the edge of the sofa as he huffed his annoyances to the world, not that anyone was listening.

Kari was at a friends house, and his mother was off at the store, buying more food since she'd wasted a weeks worth of supply trying out new healthy recipes. He shuddered as he remembered how the last one had turned out. There was a reason Kari was hiding, visiting a friend's house today.

The wild haired youth sat up on the couch, making it rock a bit before his feet touched the ground and he walked to the balcony where he looked out at the city. It was strange, everyone acted like four months ago there hadn't been monsters walking the streets, and everything was normal again.

And normal was driving him insane, why couldn't it be like in the Digital World? When he and Yamato had been the hero's to save the world by getting shot by the 'arrows of hope and light'. He chuckled, he'd almost forgotten that that particular bit of their adventure had happened in the real world. He swore he could still feel Yamato holding his hand in a death grip, as they both waited to feel the pain together... their hearts hammering together as one.

A shudder went through Taichi's body as he ran a hand through his unruly hair and turned back into the house. He couldn't believe what he had been thinking. He had really been thinking about his and Yamato's heart's matching up together? What kind of sappy love line was that?!

With a huff, he flopped back onto the couch, and grumbled as the phone rang. He lifted his head up to stare at it as it rang, but finally picked it up. He was a bit surprised to hear Takeru's voice on the other end.

"Hey, hey, calm down TK, what's going on?" The teen asked as he sat up on the couch, the phone in his ear as he listened to the half hysterical blond on the phone. He gathered enough information to find out that the older brother that Takeru looked up to so much, had run away after a bad fight with their father, and he was begging Taichi for help on finding the blond youth.

Taichi quickly agreed and went to find the other, trying to hunt him down before anything could happen that was too bad. He knew Yamato's dad was a drunk, everyone knew that, but what had happened to make Yamato run away? He ran throughout the city, and called the other's all of whom were out looking for him as well. Other people were trying to find his Yamato in a time of distress..

Taichi shook his head as he kept running, trying to find a way to the other, before anyone else could find him.

He searched everywhere for the blond, and finally he saw him, sitting on the other side of the lake in the middle of the park, hidden on either side by some bushes, as the blond laid there on his side, looking almost like he was sleeping.

Taichi wasted no time in running to the other side, and kneeling next to the worn out looking Yamato. It looked like he had slipped while running on the path, the path, that Taichi noticed would take him right to his own house, from his dad's place.

Taichi turned him over, and gently touched the mud covered side of the blond's face, and flinched when he felt the bump that was there. He quickly pulled out his cell phone, and called the hospital, for medical assistance. Yamato's face had blood and mud on the side of it, he was unconscious, and freezing cold. He must have been out there all night long..

Taichi held him close, pulling him up into a protective hold, as he quickly began to walk to where he'd told the Ambulance to meet him. After all, the Ambulance couldn't just fit in the park area where Matt had been... not easily at least.

An hour passed, and everyone had gathered outside the hospital room where Matt was resting. He had some sort of trauma to the brain, and a few other things, like the gash to the side of his head that took 15 stitches to heal up.. It made Taichi furious. The rain had been pelting the streets last night, so for Yamato's dad to run him out then, made him want to find, and kick his ass... But.. Seeing Matt laying there on that medical bed, just made him feel weak, so very weak.

And for the second time in his life, Taichi felt his and Yamato's hearts beating at the same speed, and he felt his attraction for his best friend grow once again... but now was not the time for love.

Now was the time for praying that Yamato would be alright, as the other's crowded around the window, trying to comfort the scared and frightened brother.

"It'll be okay..." Sora said as she held TK close, and yet, everyone was afraid for Yamato. He'd been out all night long, and it had been so wet and cold last night.. Would he be alright?

Or would the one who held the Crest of Friendship, pass away under the watchful, and worried eyes of the other Digidestined?

A/N: Hope you all liked it. Poor Yamato. *nod nod*
