'Breathe, Tori, breathe. You'll be fine. No one will figure anything out. This is flawless', I though to myself for the four hundred and seventy second time. This plan of mine, the one i've been trying to convince my self was flawless, is me dressing and acting like a guy at this new school just so I can play boy's tennis. The only person at the school who knows is the nurse. My brother refused to call me "Kori" so I could get away with this charade, so he enrolled in the local school instead of this private one. A good thing I figured, as there was now no one who knew me to impose on my imposter-ness. I looked up at the front gate and swallowed. I gathered my flighty courage and walked onto Sekagu High's campus.

I had gotten to school early for a reason, well multiple reasons actually. The first was to see if i could join the amazing tennis teamthat called Sekagu High its base of operations. A second, and probably more important, not that I cared, was to get my schedule and figure out where my classes were. I honestly didn't like looking like an idot on my first day of school.

As I walked towards what I thought was the office, I heard my favorite sound- tennis balls getting rallied. I veered off my original course, magnetized by the noise. I drew near to what I saw was the tennis courts and saw my reason for exsisting. Tennis rackets blurred, arms flinging and sweaty powerhouse bodies danced around tennis courts in lithe steps that are signitures of talented athletes. Holding back my nausea and nervousness, i loped over to the courts.

Six courts in all, I took in. On my left, Ryoma Echizen was playing against Takeshi Momoshiro, both all smiles and grins as they blasted each other with ferocious smashes. On the court next to them, Kunimitsu Tezuka was absorbed in his match with Shusuke Fuji, both of whom seemed just content to hit the ball. In front of me, but still seperated by one court, Takashi Kawamura burned and flashed while Shuichiro Oishi used tactical logic to counter the power shots.

All of these games seemed to be coming to an end, yet one rally off to my right didnt seem to let up. I looked over to see who the opponets were and wished I hadn't. Eiji Kikumaru- the team's acrobatic player- was flipping and summersaulted around his side of the court trying to catch his battle partner's shots that zigged and zagged around the court like a humming bird on speed. Unable to stop myself, I looked at Eiji's practice opponent. I felt my stomach flutter before it lodged in my throat. Kaoru Kaidoh, the Viper, the only person that had made me blush, was triumphing in his match with Eiji. He had a glint in his eye that could only be called enthralled.

Kaoru's movements were smothe and fluent, sharp and strong. 'His name suites hime well', I thought. The other players moved towards the busy, tense court and cheered both tennis players on. Even I was a bit eccentric and showed a bit of intrest, despite my excellent facade. On the last point it seemed, they gave it all they had.

In the end, Kaoru was victorious. I smiled a bit and decided to make my entrance. Unfortunately, Sasaharu Inui must have thought that he was going to do it for me. 'Why didn't I see him coming? I should have remembered. Damn it, he doesn't miss anything'.

"Do you need something?" the suspicion in his voice was heavy and he didn't bother to hide it.

"I'm planning on joining the tennis team," I replied smothely. 'Ok, that wasn't so hard', I thought.

Tezuka made his way to where i was standing, obviously scrutinizing my physique. I thanked my lucky stars that i had no boobs and my curves were non-existant. "How much experiance do you have?" he asked.

"No school experiance, but i play alot on my own. I'm willing to show you if you'd like." there, it was out there. I had issued a challenge to a prodigy, but they didn't know what i had up my loose sleave.

He looked skeptical, as if my boney body could hardly hold a racket, much less rally a ball. "Alright," he said, "you can play Inu-"

"No, I want to play him."

Oh dear lord, that voice was like sliken butter as it moved across my skin. Then what the player said sunk in.

"You just finished a match Kaidoh, u need to rest." Tezuka told him.

"No, I want to play him." I looked at him and he glanced at me. Damn it our eyes locked and I felt my courage fail me a bit. Son of a bitch his gaze was lethal. I sighed.

"Sure I'll play Kaidoh-chan," I said, making his name cute because I knew it would piss him off. And I was right.

"Fsshhhssssss" and a glare is what I got. 'This is going to be good', I thought.
