Cerberus I
Greetings again and here is another ficcy for your pleasure. Oy I'm getting good at posting these... let's hope I get better at updating.
So I've gotten into a bit of a Pet Shop of Horrors kick and this shall be a series of stories based on my own personal OC's as well as that of my roomate's. For example, Velacia is mine and Kaine is greyjay's, for some of you who know them from Twisted Ties.
Each set of stories will not interrelate and will be separated. For example: Cerberus I, Cerberus II, Hydra I, Hydra II etc.
I'm not really sure which sexual theme routes I shall be taking but I hope to keep you amused, both mentally and sexually XP
Please enjoy!

The sun was beginning to set behind the metal skyscrapers of New York city, a reddish glow bouncing off the silver glass panes. It was always a beautiful sight, for those who truly appreciated it... the last filters of colour before the white light from the crescent moon rolls in.
Velacia Hadry was one such woman. At the end of a long day at work it was nice to release one's stresses in the setting of the sun. But then the blackhole pit deep inside her stomach began to gnaw at her when nothing would keep her distracted.
She was the CEO of Hydra Enterprises, a new company in the latest of high tech computers and programming of the twenty-first century. Anything as small as MP3 players to the most fastest thinking machines for the U.S. army, Hydra Enterprises was behind it all.
It started back when her father was young and worked for Microsoft and was working on a hybrid piece of technology that even genius Bill gates could never finish. But her father did and front that he developed his own line of mechanics that surpassed Bill Gates legacy that he was only but a faint memory as Hydra Enterprises paved the way to the future.
She remember asking her father when she was a little girl why he chose such a name. He replied that when the head of a hydra was sliced, two more would grow back in its place. It was a symbol of power and perseverance. For all those who tried to cut him back, he would fight back with renewed vigor to the point where they are now, that no one could stand in their way.
Her brother, Devros, was originally suppose to inherit the company but he wanted no such thing. He'd rather continue his career as an upstart supermodel then to deal with the regular suit and ties. Her father was not pleased on this and therefore passed on his title of CEO and chairman to his only daughter.
He had passed away soon after, and so had their mother nearly a week later. Velacia was left with the brunt of things from the funeral to the signing of documents to keeping the company up to par. Her brother hadn't helped her at all, not even with mental support as he ran off to continue his dream.
It had been nearly over ten years since they last spoke. During that time Velacia had become hardened under the responsibility of a businesswoman. She knew of the discrimination women got within the workforce, but she became far more successful, surpassing her power and bringing the company to unimaginable heights that no one dared question her late father's choice of becoming who she was.
Yet if one could ask if the new CEO was happy with her life? The answer was no. It was the same rigamarole from day in to day out. She had become slowly drowning in her work that she didn't know what to do with herself when she wasn't. She was so lonely in that large condo of hers at night that all she could do was force herself to sleep and hope for the night to pass quickly enough till she could go back to work again, sometimes even staying at work right through the night to save herself from having to face the void at home.
If she took time off, it was rare, being to spend time with one of her old high school friends who would more or less scream and berate at her to spend time with her, whether on her phone or right outside her office that she had no other choice but to indulge the woman to keep the peace of her company.
It was nice to socialize with her friend, if socializing was Kitsune telling her everything of her life while Velacia only listened. What did she have to talk about anyway? Only work. Something she knew her friend would not want to hear, yet she complained decently enough of her own career life.
And with the exception of this one such friend, she took no other time off. Not even for holidays such as Christmas or New Year's. Her brother never even sent her a card and Velacia never returned the courtesy. They were two different people now and she felt a sense of betrayal at her brother for leaving her... but deep down she knew her brother was not one to be chained down to a job such as this.
Her friend would try to put her on to blind dates, which Velacia finally put a stop too. Every man she had been with, even back in high school, only dated her for her looks or the fact that she was wealthy. Not for who she really was. She had been used, time and time again that she has grown hard towards those who put passes to her. Even a few of her employees tried to ask her out, which she put a stop too with a harsh sense of reality if they wanted to keep their high paying jobs.
She looked at the moon again, seeing the reflection of her long silky black hair and shoulder length crimson red bangs. Silver hazed eyes and a full figured body dressed in the finest of linens and crisp slacks of midnight black. She rarely wore makeup, and when she did it was of the darkest red of lipsticks and a smidgen of eyeshadow. Not that she needed anything to cover up her face for she had no blemishes. She was what one would call perfect... but she knew it wouldn't last. She would shrivel up into an old husk of a woman and die... alone.
She didn't like this weakness, this necessity of wanting to be cared for... to be loved. But she was a woman after all and would feel such desires. But the harsh fact of reality of where she was... who she was, she could never get the true emotion and not the backlash from behind.
She sighed out heavily and turned back to her dark espresso desk, opening one of the drawers to pull out her cellphone when she came upon the card her friend had given her a few weeks ago.
She picks it up, looking over the simple coloured printing that spelled out Count D's Pet Shop. We sell love, dreams and hope.
The woman snorted, rolling her eyes over such a silly phrase. Her friend however was rather insistent on her that she should check it out, stating that if she wasn't going to get herself a man that she could at least get a pet so she wouldn't feel so alone at home.
Velacia didn't really have any time for pets. Her parents never had any when she was young. Her father and mother were always so busy that there really was no time for such things and given current circumstances Velacia couldn't agree more. A dog she would have to walk constantly and were so utterly dependant. A cat she could leave on its own, but not for weeks on end... and just the smell of the litterbox made Velacia wrinkle her nose in disgust. Birds were too messy and fish would be forgotten in mere moments. She just wasn't the best person to take care of pets. Work always came first.
She took another look at the card again, letting out a sigh before glancing over at her shut off computer. She very well knew there was nothing left to do and any foreseeable problems, even the ones that weren't, had already been fixed. She really had nothing else to do and she just didn't feel like going home to an empty void again...
Looking once more at the card she grabbed her keys and purse and briskly walked out of her office. She couldn't believe she was doing this... she'd be damned before telling Kitsune. She kept on telling herself that there was no harm in taking a look. She had nothing else better to do. And she didn't have to buy if she didn't want too. No matter how much this Count D tried, no one could force Velacia Hadry in buying anything.
* * *
Chinatown was almost like a maze if one didn't know how to navigate. This area wasn't as bustling at night as the rest of the Big Apple may be and Velacia really had no trouble directing her silver jaguar through the tight intersections.
She glanced at her GPS, the female automated voice telling her where and when to turn next. She was getting into a shadier part of the town and the businesswoman was beginning to seriously consider turning around. Not that she was afraid of getting jumped, she did know how to defend herself, she was not one to put herself in harm's way on a stupid whim.
But seeing as she already had taken the initiative to drive all the way down here, it was a waste to turn back now. And where would she go back home too? It was either work or home... and neither seemed rather appealing at this moment.
As she was still debating with herself, she soon could see the faint glowing lights of the neighbouring buildings beside the pet shop which itself did not have any such fancy decor. Simple, old fashioned, as many chinese buildings she read in books back in history class had. Not that really what it looked like on the outside would impress her much. Nor did she feel what would be on the inside would do the same thing.
She pulled to the side of the road and parked, looking at the steering wheel in her hands before finally stepping out of her vehicle, the beep of her horn signaling the locks seeming comforting in a way as her pointed stilettos clicked against the ground smoothly as she walked towards the entrance of the petshop.
She took a look around her, seeing very few other people on the streets. She glances back up at the door and closes her eyes, her hands clenching into tight fists. Its not like she'll find what she wants here.
With a deep breath she opens the doors, which led down a dark stairway to another set of glass and silver encased doors. She pushed those open too, blinking as she comes into a warmly lit room with various comfortable sofas and lush vegetation all around. Was this really a pet shop?
Her attention soon came upon a being who was sitting at one of the red leather couches. At first glance Velacia thought it was a woman, but upon closer inspecting it was a delicate featured male with chin length silky black locks and dressed in a complete male kimono of black velvet and red embroidery lining down the front, closed with gold snaps. Velacia notices his lips are covered with the lightest shade of purple and that his eyes themselves... the left was purple and the right gold. For a moment she wonders why he would wear such colourful contacts... but then pushes the thought from her mind as he bows towards her, one slender long arm draping across his chest, long dark purple nails lining the slender digits.
"Good evening my lady" the gentle voice came from the man's soft lips as he raised himself to full height. "Do come in".
"Thank you" Velacia said quietly as she walks further into the threshold, taking in the rather sweet smell of burning incense. She looks around for a quick moment again, taking in the dimly lit room before looking at the man before her. "Are you Count D?"
"I go by the name, but this is actually my grandfather's shop. He is gone away on a long trip and I am managing his store in the meantime".
Velacia inclines her head, wondering if the grandfather looked as bizarre as this man did, if of a more aged appearance. Nonetheless to each their own.
"Are you looking for anything in particular madam? We carry various species of pets, branching out to the most rare and exotic" the man prompted and Velacia looks back to him again, raising an eyebrow. Rare and exotic? Well this was Chinatown and she wouldn't be surprised if there may be any illegal creatures here... none that she would buy. She wouldn't be stupid enough to get into any trouble with any Animal Wildlife Organization.
"To tell you the truth, I am not sure what brought me here" she begins with a sigh, running a hand through her hair. "I am a rather busy person and I don't really have time for pets. Not that I have anything against anyone who has them... I just don't think I'd be able to give them my full attention, which wouldn't be fair to them. My friend actually told me to come here... but to be honest, I am probably wasting your time".
"Nonsense" D said, gesturing for the woman to sit down on the leather upholstery as he moved to get some tea from one side of the room. Velacia hesitated for a brief moment before sitting, nodding politely as the man came back with what was a lovely brew of chinese tea, sitting opposite to her. She smiles as she takes a sip of the warm beverage, enjoying how well it warmed her insides.
"It is good to see that you have the view of knowing what you can and can not do, unlike those who jump blindly into matters and are unable to take care of them in the end. A pet is a great responsibility... not many can see that".
"I agree. I remember when I was younger many of my friends would beg and plead with their parents for a pet and once they got it and the novelty wore off, they wouldn't bother with them anymore. Which forced their parents to either take care of it themselves or sell it" Velacia acknowledge, crossing one leg over the other.
"Such a true fact... and more often then not they make it seem like its the pet's fault when in truth it is the owner themselves" the man continued, taking a sip of his own tea before setting it down on the plate it came with. He then raised his different coloured eyes, locking them with Velacia's. "Forgive me if I am too bold madam, but you seem like all you do is work".
"Not too far from the truth" Velacia said with a soft laugh, though it ended in a sad sigh. "I really do have no time for anything else... what I do, seems the only thing I can be good at. Being with friends, or trying to date others I can never do - I'm sorry, I don't know why I am saying such things. It isn't really your concern" the woman apologized. Again the man waved his hand again and she felt slightly more at ease. Perhaps it was the incense, or how dimly lit this room was or how calm and collected this man was, seeming to have no motive, not even to make her buy something. She could read sales people like a book, knowing their little tricks... but this man was different. Like he was really listening to her.
"On the contrary, it is. This is Chinatown. A place where mystery is around every corner and your heart's desire behind every door. I'm sure I can help find what you're looking for".
Velacia blinks as she looks at him, finding his words both ludicrous and yet quite honest. The way he was looking at her seemed to tell her in full volumes that he could help her.
"I... I am uncertain of what I really want". D tilts his head to the side thoughtfully, giving her a smile sometimes she wished her family would of given her. Sure they smiled at her... but it was never as understanding or as fully exposed as this.
"Those who look at you from the ground and see you upon the pedestal you had worked long and hard for do not see the efforts for how you got there but just the rewards. You are seen as a trophy but not truly a prize worth fighting for and keeping. You do not want your life to whittle away to death and forever be alone with no true love and care. You have a purpose, but one that does not fill the void inside. You need a purpose that makes your life on this world complete that when you leave to death you'll have no regrets... only happiness. And even when you pass beyond the path of no return, you will still be happy and truly loved".
Velacia's mouth gapes open and she quickly closes it after, blinking at the man for several quiet minutes. How... how did he know all of this? Had he been spying on her? Yet that thought left her mind as soon as it entered. No one could make something like that up. Every word, note and syllable struck deep within her soul... the void rumbling within its pit. He smiles at her, tilting his head to the side.
"Am I close?"
"Very close. More like bang on" Velacia muttered, hurriedly taking another sip of her tea. D smiles warmly as he stands, holding out his hand to her. The CEO watches it for a few moments longer before accepting it, letting him pull her to her feet.
"I think I have something that may be perfect to you". Velacia sighs, shaking her head slightly.
"If what you state is true, you should also know I may not have enough means to take care of whatever you may show me".
"Perhaps. But I think you with one it'll be different. No harm in trying, yes?" Velacia relents and nods and the man smiles again, leading her a curtain of silk and pulling it to the side, letting her through and striding beside her.
It was darker back here and they passed numerous cages with glowing eyes that called out to them as they passed. Velacia eyes them carefully as she follows the Count, rather surprised at how deep this place truly ran... and how wonderful it still smelled.
"You must take care of this place very well".
"That I do" D says with a nod. "I also burn incense to purge all animal odours. Sometimes a sweeter smell makes things more easier to choose".
"Until the sweet smell goes away and what is left is something rotten" Velacia points out. He glances at her from the corner of his eye and chuckles.
"You are correct in such a regard madam, but this case is differently".
Velacia was beginning to wonder what case that may truly be but decides to give the Count a chance to show her... though would it be enough for her to buy a pet?
They turn down various different hallways, the heat beginning to increase till they come to a stone doorway. Despite the increase in temperature, the woman could feel something cold press against her heart and takes a deep breath. She glances at the Count but he seems to be well or maybe use to such a feeling, if he could feel what she was, and smiles at her, placing his hands on the door handles.
"Right through here".
He pushes them open and steps inside, the long haired woman following closely. She then lets out a gasp as she surveys the room, stepping back slightly.
The ground was hard and dead, rough patches of silver grass here and there. Caves of decent sized lined all around, each entrance looking more darker and less inviting then the rest. Faint light shone from some halogen lamps strung about the ceiling. There was very little vegetation and from what she could see it was already long dead.
There was a pit of red fire in the middle of the room, the flames crackling upward, the only glimmer of warmth compared to how cold she felt inside. The flames seemed to glow darkly however, if that was even possible... black within the red.
But what truly got her attention was the various skeletons laying about, some of animals large and small... and the rest being human. Most of them were coloured black, dirtied over who knows how long, though there were a few of a lighter colour, not as sullied as the rest. It still did not sit well with the woman, though she couldn't smell the death thanks to the incense that burned strongly here too... yet she could feel it. She narrows her gaze at D accusingly.
"What the hell is this?! Did you do this?! If you have brought me here to kill me I assure you I am not going to let you take me so easily-"
"Madam please" D said with a calm voice, raising his hand to calm her down. "I would not be the one permitted to do such a thing".
"What does that mean-" she begins but then stops as he gestures towards the fire pit.
"This is what I've come to show you. I'd like to introduce you to the Guardian of the Underworld".
Eyebrows raised high in confusion Velacia turns to look beyond the flames, her eyes squinting not seeing anything at first till a pair of bright cold, blue eyes stare at her from the shadows. They seem to cut through her and yet compel her to keep watching and she swallows hard, her form rigid as the being steps out.
It was a tall man of a slender build, his features both sharp and easy on the eyes. His hair stood straight up in long spikes of a dark royal purple colour with a few loose locks running over those hard eyes. He was clad in a tight black muscle shirt and tight black leather pants to match. Knee high dark boots with silver spikes run along the front and back and matching metal bracers line his forearms. A thick and heavy spiked collar is enclosed tightly around his neck and silver manacles with small links of broken chains are snapped along his wrists and ankles with a silver earrings coming off his pointed ears. Black dark tribal tattoos ran along both of his exposed shoulders and similar marks upon his cheeks and forehead, making him look more fierce. His nails were painted black but were long and sharp, but not like the Count's... more like claws. Velacia was beginning to wonder what kind of creepy goth or punk this man was till something rustled behind him and she coughs as she sees a long thigh purple and black furred tail swish behind him, ending down at his ankles.
He was both divine and deadly... that much she could tell from his appearance. The clenching on her heart only tightened and she felt more cold inside... her form was tense and tight as she surveyed every detail of this being again, from his clothes to his muscles to the detail of his tail and claws, to how sharp those ears tilted out to finally those cold eyes again... he had a look that could kill...
Breathing deeply she looks around to D again, jerking her near rigamortis arm out to the being that stood by the fire.
"What the hell is this?! Some kind of sick joke? How is that a pet when he looks human?!" she demands, ignoring the fact this being had a very motion sensitive tail. D smiles kindly and moves towards the man, the cold blue eyes of the dark clad one glancing briefly for a moment over the Count before resettling it upon her own silver eyes. She wanted to look away... and didn't at the same time. Though something inside scared her... she was drawn to him.
"This is a Cerberus, the one who guards the souls of the dead" D said calmly, seeming to either not see or ignore the tension the woman had. He gently reaches out to hold Kaine's hand, running his slender digits along his pale flesh.
"You mean the one from Greek mythology?" Velacia asked, sounding rather skeptical.
"The same one" D said with a nod. "Yet he is real, not myth. There are very few Cerberus', only one sectioned at each continent of the world. They are a very rare breed of canine. This one's name is Kaine".
"Kaine..." Velacia lets it trail off her tongue, the name seeming to suit this man quite well, too well. The man in question gives her a smirk and she wants to nearly glower at him. "If he is a... Cerberus... as you say, shouldn't he have three heads?" She didn't think she could handle three pairs of cold eyes looking at her... though it certainly felt like she being looked at it in more ways than one.
"Though you are right, it does not always mean in the literal sense. There are Cerberus' with one or two heads and some up to fifty. It can also relate to his form of power... a decider of Time, Life and Death".
"Mmm, yes, death" Velacia comments idly. Even if he was just a human she wouldn't put it past this man that he could easily kill her. "Though I am not one for superstition, isn't it a bad omen of some sorts to have a Cerberus as a pet?"
"On the contrary, to have him by your side you will feel more protection then any mere mortal man could give you. Your life would be his duty and your soul would have safe passage to the other wise when you pass on... one could have no more love and utter attention than this one can give you madam".
Velacia didn't seem sure... she wondered if D would state such phrases so beautifully, to speak of what people truly want to hear to bring them to such dangerous... pets. But something still told her that this was all very real...
Her heart was struggling to beat within the cold clutches that she could now feel was thanks to this... creature. She... she wanted to be loved, to be accepted, protected... to be understood... she didn't want her life to be meaningless and just a slave to her father's empire. But could this Cerberus truly give that to her?
"Come closer to him. Let him know you... and let yourself know him. Give yourself an honest chance to see if he could be the one to close your void" D urged gently. The woman wasn't sure, looking from the Count with his gentle smile to the smirk Kaine was giving her.
"You're... right" she said softly and slowly moved towards Kaine, keeping her eyes on him as her shoes click against the hardened ground. She could feel her feet passing over the bones but didn't sway gaze from the man before her. Her breathing was hitched in her throat as she stood fully before him. She almost panicked as D stepped away but she didn't dare move as the man before her moved closer till their noses almost touched.
She inhaled deeply as he brought his nose close to her neck, inhaling deeply, his eyes closing as hers remained opened. She could feel the ghost of a kiss on her nape. One arm curled around her slender waist, pulling her closer as the other reaches up to trail through her hair slowly, her smooth locks flowing over his claws, Velacia's heart beating rapidly within her chest, the cold feeling still consuming her from the inside.
He pulls back slightly, his free hand moving down from her hair to across her shoulder to finally holding her hand in his. His grip is a firm one... and his flesh felt so cold. His gaze locks with hers again and his smirk deepens.
"The time of your life has been so irresponsibly spent by the desires of others..." he speaks in a smooth, deep voice that sent tingles through her whole nervous system. She almost trembles by a wave of masculinity but she holds back, for some reason wanting to be strong for him. She didn't even wonder how he could talk... perhaps a Cerberus really could. Nothing mattered except for what he would say and do...
"Your life will be in my hands..." he purred and at that moment the cold inside her and from him flicked to immense warmth and she gasped softly, confused by this feeling but feeling the void within her slowly closing a bit. She felt more... complete.
"Well it seems he has accepted you" came D's voice from behind her and she nearly jumps, having forgotten he was still in the room. She could feel his hands on her shoulders as Kaine slowly released her and then moved away, sitting down by the fire with one leg propped up, though his gaze was still on her and his tail wagged lazily. The warmth dimmed a bit... but was still there nonetheless. Gulping she turns her gaze back to the Count as he smiles back at her.
"Have you accepted him?"
Velacia looks back at the hybrid by the fire and wonders thoughtfully for a few moments, asking herself seriously with her whole will if this is the right thing... and the answer was simple.
"Yes".
"Excellent" D said as he clapped his hands together. "I assure you madam our prices are reasonable. Now we just need to go over the contract". He gestures for her to follow to a wicker table and two chairs that Velacia didn't remember seeing before but follows him quietly to it, taking a seat opposite him.
He slides a document towards her along with a pen and she takes it into her hand quietly as she looks at the words but doesn't see them and instead looks at D, waiting for him to explain.
"There are three clauses that you must pay strong attention to. One, do not show him to anyone. Two, he can only be fed the flesh of humans and nothing else. And finally he must be taken for a walk every night within a cemetery. If any of these clauses our breached, we will not take responsibility for the consequences, no matter how tragic or horrendous they may be, for pet or owner".
Velacia blinks for a moment before sputtering, picking the contract up and staring at it incredulously before gaping at D, who only gazed calmly back with an amused smile.
"O-Only feed him human flesh?! Where the hell will I find that? I'm not going to start murdering anybody or digging up graves-"
"Please madam. Rest assured we can provide you the substance that he needs. We get our shipment from the morgue after the use with the deceased are finished with". Velacia wasn't sure which sounded more ridiculous, that Kaine needed to eat human flesh or that D had ready access to it.
"But why does he need to eat... humans?"
"He is a Guardian of the Underworld... of souls. There is no need for flesh beyond the veil of death. For the flesh to be disposed of so the soul can not return".
Velacia hears a slight chuckle and looks over to Kaine, who seems to have a devilish look to his lips... a look she wasn't sure if she was particularly fond of. She tears her eyes away from the man and looks back at the Count.
"Will he... will he eat me?"
"You are his owner. He will not eat you unless you give him reason to". This seemed to go beyond the means of just literally devouring human flesh and Velacia made sure not to look at Kaine as her cheeks coloured. She coughs into her hand and continues.
"Walking him I have no problem... but doesn't that go against the first clause, making sure he's not seen? That would be kind of hard..."
"If you walk him at night, rest assured he will not be seen by others. Only you can see him. He is one of the darkness and uses such to his advantage. I'd advise just to only take him for walks at night however... during the day he can and will be seen. Besides a stroll through a graveyard seems more memorable at night, no?"
The woman looks down at the paper quietly, tense feelings in the air, though only seeming to her. D and Kaine were rather quiet as she is deep in thought, the only thing receiving to her senses is the sweet smelling incense and the feeling of this warmth she never had seeming to battle with the cold depths of the void that could consume her, leaving nothing for her to enjoy...
"Can he really... make me happy?"
She feels a hand on her own, looking up to see it is D and watches the kind smile... the kind gaze he was giving her. How much honesty was behind those eyes...
"Only if you let him and accept him for what he is".
She looks at Kaine at this and there is no smirk upon his lips. His gaze was unreadable but there was an allure, a pull... a desire to be with him. Maybe having Cerberus as a pet is a bad omen... but it is a choice between a long life alone or a short life with someone who could potentially complete her.
"Alright, I understand" she said and signs the contract, handing the pen and document back to the Count who gladly rolls it up and tucks it into the sleeve of him kimono, surprising Velacia slightly that it didn't fall out before looking at him.
"Thank you for your purchase".
"Speaking of purchase, what do I owe you?"
"Ah yes. Well for the cost of the Cerberus and the one time fee for the unlimited supply of flesh from the morgue, twenty plates of Madame See's Chocolate Marshmallow Raspberry delights" he said with a clap of his hands. "And oh, as a bonus, I shall give you this incense. The supply I will also provide at no extra charge". He hands her the oriental container of the sweet smelling item, gently pushing it into her hands as she blinked at him in a stupor.
"Wha-"
"Have them delivered tomorrow morning" D continued as Velacia continued to stare at him perplexed. He wasn't serious was he? To be paid in sweets? But from the look in those mismatched eyes he was.
"Err, alright. What about Kaine?"
"We shall have him moved to your home tomorrow" D said nonchalantly.
"Well alright then" Velacia said and then set the incense down, pulling out her card and flipping it over and scribbling her address down on it. "Here is the access code into my home". Somehow she had a good feeling that D wouldn't try to mess with her stuff, as well that it was probably better for her to be at work while they bring Kaine in. She then picked up the incense again, holding it with one hand as she shakes D's hand.
"Thank you... I mean that" she said quietly.
"No madam, thank you. I hope you are forever happy with your pet" he said.
Velacia nods, believing that she would and looks at Kaine who gives her a dark smile that makes her warm through her whole body again, sending tingles throughout her whole form. Flushing lightly she inclines her head politely and leaves quickly after before some more baser senses kick in, her heels being heard echoing away as the stone door closes behind her.
"Well... she seems more level headed then most" D said thoughtfully as he moves towards Kaine, running a hand delicately through his purple locks, the sitting man inclining his head to the hand, seeming to like the touch. "I think her end is the one you've been searching for".
Kaine keeps his gaze trailed upon the door as he reaches his hand into the fire, his flesh not getting charred at all as he pulls out what seems to be what's left of a charred hand. He brings it up to his lips, flickering his tongue out onto the flesh and sinks his teeth into the black, crisp meat, pulling it into his mouth, chewing thoughtfully before swallowing hard.
"She is".

"She is".
