An Un-ESP-ected Gift
BBBZZZZZ! BBBZZZZZ!
The alarm clock went off, waking Ben from his slumber. He swung his arm across to the bedside cabinet, hitting the button on the alarm to stop the loud buzzing. He yawned and stretched out his arms.
"Urg...days like this I wish I could wake up to something that wasn't buzzing." He sighed to himself as he got up from the bed, pulling the blanket back over it and heading into the shower.
He was so out of it right now that he did not notice just what exactly today was.
He made his way downstairs after getting himself dressed, and saw a few letters sitting on the mat in front of the door. He picked them up, and saw that they were mostly all cards - birthday cards.
"Oh yeah, I forgot that was today..." he chuckled. There were several cards from his friends and family, but there was one envelope that stood out from the others. It had a red, white and black design to it.
"I think I know who this is from." He smirked and opened it up, finding a birthday card inside with a letter attached to it. He picked up the letter and read it.
"Heya Ben, how have you been doing?
I wanted to send you my wishes that you'll have a good day today. I wanted to try to come over in person, but my training has been keeping me busy. I will try to make my way down to yours sometime in the day if I can, if not then do not worry, I have sent my gift to you in advance. It should make its way to you sometime before lunch, and I'm pretty sure you'll like it. Also, Aurora and Syren want to send their wishes.
Have fun!
Peter."
The letter itself was also signed with what looked like a large pawprint. He just chuckled, he knew that his friend wasn't exactly what you would calhuman after ending up stranded on a mysterious island.
"I wonder what he's sending." He pondered as he went to make himself a quick breakfast. He wouldn't have to wait for too long, cause not long after he made his meal did he hear a knocking at the door.
"That must be it!" He said as he made his way to the door, opening it up. To his surprise, there was nothing waiting outside for him.
"What..." He blinked, looking around. "Is someone messing around with me?"
He was about to close the door when he was quickly knocked backwards.
"GAH!" He yelped as he was laid out flat on the floor. "Oww...what was that..." He tried to push himself up, but something was on top of him. He lifted his head up...and what he saw, he really could not believe.
He found himself stairing into a pair of large purple eyes with pure white irises. The head of the creature was feline inappearance, as was most of its form, if not somewhat humanish in size and proportions. A smal red gem sat between its eyes, and a long, slender forked tail wagged behind it. On top of all this, he was able to deduce that he creature was a female, due to the pair of beasts that sat upon her chest.
"Hiya!" The creature smiled to him, purring softly.
"You're an...an Espeon?" Ben was only able to stammer or a few moments, looking at the anthromorphic Pokémon in shock and a small sense of awe.
"Right in one." She giggled. "My name is Spira, it's nice to meet you Ben."
"How...do you know my name?" He asked.
"Hadou told me. Though I think you know him as Peter...even if I didn't know that, I could have just read your mind" She winked.
"I see...Well Spira..." he groaned. "Whilst it is nice to meet you...you're crushing my ribs...and you have a knee in a sensitive area..." He winced.
"Oh! Sorry!" She said as she quickly lept off of him ontoher feet, extending a pawhand to help the human up. Ben grabbed it and was quickly brought him back to his feet.
"Thanks..." Ben gasped for breath as he stood back up. "I'm guessing you're a burthday present from him?"
"Yup!" She beamed. "He raised me himself from one of his Eevees. He actually bred a few Espeon, I guess he must find us cute" She purred.
"Then what did...how did he breed one which is humanoid?" he asked.
"All he said was that he 'manipulated my aura' and helped to change my form. It's kind of a weird story, but that's basically how I was made into what I am."
"So he didn't take you to that weird island he talked about?"
"I don't think that place would have any affect on those who are already a Pokémon. He has a way of changing things via their aura though. Me, for example" She smirked.
"I guess you got a point there...so anyway, what do I have to do?"
"What do you have to do?" She blinked. "I can't believe you just asked that, aren't you meant to be my trainer now?" She questioned Ben. "Then again, he really didn't specify what I had to be exactly. For all you know, he might have sent me to run you into the ground." She laughed playfully.
"Ok...I'm now worried..." Ben backed away a little bit.
"Oh relax, I'm not really here to harm you in any way whatsoever." She said, placing a pawhand on his shoulder. "Although to be truthful, there WAS one thing that he wanted me to do, but he wanted for me to first find out that it was something that you wanted."
"Something that I wanted? Aside from you?" He looked at Spira curiously.
"Well...There was something else that he wanted me to do..." She started, her eyes glowing as she looked on at him. "And from what I can read in your mind, it is something that you would enjoy." She purred, getting closer.
"Something that I'd enjoy?"
"Yes..." Her eyes glew more and more fiercly now, a blue light glowing around her form, soon wrapping around him.
"Hey, what are you trying to do?" He seemed to panic a little bit.
"Just relax...I promise you that it won't hurt at all..." She said as bright, lavender fur started to grow across his body.
"The hell?" He gasped, almost falling backwards as Spira kept looking at him.
"There is no need to worry...I can tell that you will enjoy this in time." She told him. "I would not be trying to do this if I knew the outcome would be something you did not enjoy."
The palms of his hands swelled out into thick pads as his nails grew out into sharpened claws. The fur continued to grow as he himself also went under a slight growth spurt, his form growing a few feet taller as his muscles bulged slightly, a new strenght flowing through them.
"Are you making me into..." He started.
"An Espeon like me? Yup." She smiled as his feet underwent a similar change, growing into large clawed paws. Much to his surprise, he also found that despite the growth in form and muscularity, his body was also becoming lithe and slender, much like Spira's. A bump formed on the base of his spine, slowly growing into a long, thin tail. When it grew out fully, the tip of it forked.
"This is actually...quite cool..." He smirked a little as his new tail wagged behind him.
"See, I knew you'd like it!" She grinned, his face starting to push out into a slight feline muzzle, his nose shrinking slightly, turning black as it sat atop his new muzzle. His teeth quickly grew into sharpened fangs as new ones filled the spaces in his maw. His hair fell away as his ears grew large and pointed, sitting atop his head.
"Nearly done now..." He chuckled as his eyes grew larger, completly turning a shiny purple as his irises turned white, his pupils vanishing. To top it all off, a small ruby gem apeared on his forehead between his eyes, ending the changes as his mind was suddenly filled with the knowledge of his new form, and the powers it brought.
"There you go, how do you feel?" Spira asked as she looked over Ben.
"A little weird...but at the same time good." He smirked, looking over himself. "Should I lose the clothes?"
"Up to you, right now you've got nothing to hide." She said with a laugh.
"Well let's see if I can do it this way." He focused on himself, mainly his clothing. It took him a few moments, but soon his clothing vanished from his body, leaving him completly nude. He would have blushed, but it was like she said, nothing to hide. The fur that had grown over him had done a very good job of concealing his gender when it was not needed.
"Neat." He laughed.
"So would you say I did a good job?" She asked, stepping close to him and gently nuzzling his face with a soft purr. Ben blushed for a few seconds before he started to purr back, returning the gesture. "Yeah, I'd say you did a brilliant job." He nuzzled her a little more before placing a soft kiss on her cheek, causing Spira to blush.
"Oh my...I didn't predict that..." She said with a hint of embarassment.
He was about to say something back when his phone started ringing. He picked it up and heard a familiar voice.
"Heya Ben, I'm trusting that my present made its way to you in one piece." Peter said with a smirk.
"Yup, she got here alright, and was fairly quick to make her intentions known"
"That's good. I've decided to take a short break from my journeys, and I'm not too far from your house, so I'll pop in on you two in a little while." Peter told him.
"Ok, we'll be waiting for you!" Ben grinned as he put the phone down.
"I'm guessing that was Ha - I mean, Peter. Shall I help you get the place ready for him?" Spira asked.
"Yeah, we'll be able to whip up a birthday feast without much problems now...It shouldn't take too long to mentally cook meat right?" Ben mused. Spira could not help but laugh at this.
"Oh no...might take some practise first, so leave it to me." She winked. "Just get ready for your friend, I'll tend to the cooking. It won't take me 5 minutes."
"Gotya!" He smirked as he started to get prepared.
The day was far from over, but needless to say he was having the best day of his life - and he could predict that things would get better from here on out.
