It Ends Tonight

Hi. So this is my first Gravitation fanfic that I am posting on here. Lol. I have one that I am going to post up here later, but this idea was in my head while I was listening to music this morning.

There are a lot of things I marked for this story just to be safe. The main pairing is Ryuichi x Tohma. Why? Cause I love Tohma Seguchi as uke to Ryuichi Sakama only. Yes there are different pairings and yes there will be smut in this.

Now the warnings for this chapter: Mentions of anal sex, some angst, sadness, mentions of Tohma/Mika and I think that is all. If you notice one I did not put here please let me know thanks.

The song used for this chapter is "It Ends Tonight", by the All American Rejects. I do not own the song, band or anything associated with that and I make NO money from this fanfiction.

******************************************************************

It was time for the concert and Ryuichi had just about had it. He would tell Tohma exactly how he felt in a song he was performing with Bad Luck none the less. He closed his eyes mentally getting himself ready for the song he was going to sing with his best friend Shuichi Shindou's band while the pink haired singer did something back stage. It was announced that Ryuichi would be performing a song with Bad Luck and cheers erupted from the audience as he stepped out on stage. His serious singing persona clear to all his adoring fans who loved the childish yet serious singer. He looked out over the crowd.

"This song is for someone, who I feel overlooks whats right in front of them and I am not going to keep letting them hurt me because they can't figure out what they want.", Ryuichi said as the lights dimmed and Suguru started playing.

Your subtleties
They strangle me
I can't explain myself at all.
And all the wants
And all the needs
All I don't want to need at all.

The thoughts of Tohma pushing him away when he wanted to be close because Mika was near by flashed through his mind. He hated how each time Tohma claimed that he gave him some kind of recognition while Ryuichi had to watch him being all happy with his wife.

The walls start breathing
My mind's unweaving
Maybe it's best you leave me alone.
A weight is lifted
On this evening
I give the final blow.

Did Tohma really not realize how much it hurt him? How much he hated having to hide his relationship with the blonde keyboardist? Tohma claimed to love him and had given himself to Ryuichi on many a pleasurable night and yet he, Ryuichi, always came in third to Eiri and Mika respectively.

When darkness turns to light,
It ends tonight
It ends tonight.

Well he was sure Tohma wouldn't be so thick as to understand what Ryuichi was saying to him with this song. Maybe Tohma would realize how much he was hurting someone he claimed to never want to leave..to be with forever.

A falling star
Least I fall alone.
I can't explain what you can't explain.
You're finding things that you didn't know
I look at you with such disdain

He remembered when Tohma got mad at him for going out drinking with Shuichi when the keyboardist went to spend time with Mika for Valentine's Day. Eiri had been in America promoting his new book at the time. He remembered Tohma accusing him of cheating and saying that Ryuichi was just playing with his heart. He remembered laughing at Tohma and saying that if anyone was being misleading it was Tohma before the blonde keyboardist left.

The walls start breathing
My mind's unweaving
Maybe it's best you leave me alone.
A weight is lifted
On this evening
I give the final blow.

Ryuichi closed his eyes as he got more into the song singing it with all the power the Nittle Grasper vocalist possessed. He wasn't going to feel bad for telling Tohma how he felt. Yesterday, had been the final straw. Hearing Tohma promise forever to Mika over the phone in his apartment. He had went into the room and told Tohma to leave and go back to the one he wanted to be with. That he didn't want to see him at that moment.

When darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Just a little insight won't make this right
It's too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.

This was the last concert in which he would allow his thoughts to dwell on Tohma. He didn't want to do this, but Tohma had to make a choice. He couldn't deal with this anymore. It was too much for one person to be denied the one they loved in favor for their previous lover.

Now I'm on my own side
It's better than being on your side
It's my fault when you're blind
It's better that I see it through your eyes

He had defended Tohma constantly against everyone who thought ill of the Nittle Grasper keyboardist and president of NG productions. He didn't say anything when Tohma would talk about how he was so childish to others in an almost mocking way behind his back, because he knew that when it was just him and Tohma that he felt loved and appreciated. He remembered every time after one of those incidents, how submissive Tohma would become to make up for it. Those soft touches, the feeling of his member being wrapped in tight heat while Tohma moaned and panted beneath, all while Tohma told Ryuichi how much he supposedly loved him.

All these thoughts locked inside
Now you're the first to know

He remembered the last fight they had about three weeks before this concert. Tohma had been working on something and all the while spending lots and lots of time with Mika. When Ryuichi asked about it, Tohma had looked at him and said not to worry. How the hell was he not supposed to worry?! He hadn't seen his lover and the keeper of his heart in two weeks at the time. He thought about how he told Tohma the night before this concert that he was not going to continue to be Tohma's guilty pleasure. The other male had looked confused, but Ryuichi had been practicing this song to make sure that Tohma realized that he was completely done with this. He loved Tohma, he really really did, but he didn't feel as though Tohma felt the same way.

When darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Just a little insight won't make this right
It's too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends

He glanced to the side of the stage where an expressionless Tohma stood with Shuichi. Whether Tohma showed it or not, Ryuichi knew him well enough to know his message was getting through.

When darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Just a little insight won't make this right
It's too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.

He needed Tohma to realize that he was not going to sit and play while Tohma figured out what he wanted. That he was not going to give Tohma what the seem to want as a temporary fix to everything. If Tohma wanted him, and I mean actually wanted him, he would have to show him.

Tonight
Insight
When darkness turns to light,
It ends tonight.

Ryuichi looked at Tohma one last time as he sung the final line of the song. He looked at the crowd and bowing with the loud cheers that erupted upon his completion of the song. He then walked back stage passing Tohma was the iciest look he could. A look that most wouldn't have expected from the childish vocalist. Shuichi was supposed to go on with his band to perform another song next. He would stay and watch to support his friend.
