    Ritsuka was sleeping so peacefully in Seimei’s arms, safe from their mother and the rest of the world; safe in a sense that at this very moment, in the stillness of the night, he would be protected from the abuse of their abrasive mother and the taint and the ugly blackness of the reality of the world. This, however, had one exception. It did not include the very person who Ritsuka loved and trusted the most.

    Would Seimei be able to save Ritsuka from himself? 

    He had to often tell himself that he needed to be patient and simply be satisfied with how Ritsuka looked up so adoringly to him, how he had the privilege of wrapping his arms around his little brother, secretly reveling in the warmth and the softness of the skin of his flesh, but there were times when Seimei had truly, covetously wanted more and to keep himself controlled, he would allow himself to dream.

    As he gazed at his still sleeping brother, his mind wondered and wandered. He imagined letting his hand slide down and slip under his shirt, rubbing against Ritsuka’s slim stomach, delighting in the confused breathy moans of his little brother. He imagined how those eyes would snap open in surprise and then droop heavily in his lust because Seimei would make him feel oh so very good, his hand going south, farther and farther until he felt the whole length of Ritsuka’s arousal.

    He would think about the best way to pleasure his brother, perhaps tease him the way Ritsuka had for years and years, moving his hand up and down, his thumb circling around the tip. Ritsuka probably wouldn’t last long. After all, he was still such a young boy. And so, when Seimei would make him come, he would bite at Ritsuka’s neck, mark him the way he had marked Soubi, because Ritsuka was his.

    Seimei sighed. Now he was aroused and he wondered if Ritsuka, his beloved little brother felt him, his desire, his lust. He glanced at his sleeping brother again and decided that for Ritsuka’s sake, he needed to bring him back to his own room. He tried to get up, disentangling himself from Ritsuka, but when those violet eyes opened, his heart stopped.

    “Don’t leave me there, Seimei, please.”

    His mind took that word, how Ritsuka had said it, so pleadingly, practically begging him, and mentally shook his head off of the fleeting lewd, lavish images of his brother begging for him to take him and fuck him because if nothing else, his fantasies were simply as they were: fantasies. 

    “Alright,” Seimei said with another sigh, trying to will his arousal away. He was in control of the situation. “You can stay.”

    Ritsuka threw his arms around his brother and hugged him tightly. In a whisper, he said, “Thank you.”

    For that, Seimei was glad that he had only fantasized about taking him. He didn’t think he would be able to bear it— the sharp acidic words of refusal and rejection spilling from those lips, coming from the only person who truly mattered to him far more than anyone else in the entire world.
