Bento. Shinji made it for Asuka and himself, mainly. Sometimes he would make some for Rei too. Not today though.

He opened it with a smile which immediately faded as he touched the food. Cold. Blach.

Well, atleast he got food, "be grateful" his sensie his father left him with taught him.

He ate the bento and put it in his bag.

"HUHAHA" A voice came behind him which made him jump and-

"AAA!" he yelled and jumped off his desk, before he could punch Touji out of his fight-or-flight sense.

"what the hell!" he exclaimed to his friends behind him, who were giggling like 3-year-olds who just squished a snail under their boot.

"We got you!"

"ugh.." he said before getting out to walk to the field.

Going to his locker, he opened it to get his outside shoes. He put them on and closed the door.

Pressure down there made him realize he had to go to the bathroom. So he did.

Walking out after washing his hands, he reached the turn before the exit which led him outside. Before he walked outside, he saw Asuka, at her lcoker. Okay-

What?

there were two other guys with her. 

Shoving her into the locker..?

Asuka was pretty strong, she did beat up guys who tried to approach her in the class. But these guys weren't that weak, they weren't from their class and looked quite big. That explains it.

Shinji just stood There, watching in worry.

"should i help her?"

"yeah you should"

"but she never helped me"

"you didn't think of that when you jumped into a volcano for her didn't you?"

"well yeah but...."

Shinji wasn't very strong, but was above average, Eva pilot training made him stronger than your average middle schooler. Still though, those guys were pretty big, bigger than Shinji atleast.

what if i got hurt?

He ran as fast as he could to the locker. Only to be kicked down by one of the guys. He was now laying on the ground, groaning in pain as he clutched his stomach, Asuka looked at him, worried and angry at the baka. 'why did he have to make the effort! i can save myself!'

she could not.

Shinji, as a last resort, bit the leg of one of the boys with all his might. The boy stumbled back and yelled in pain. 

Asuka saw her chance and kicked the other boy away, which started to punch shinji. Asuka hurried to the boy who's leg Shinji had bitten, and kicked him repeatedly, cursing in German.

Shinji mustered up all the life he had in him and punched the boys gut, which got him on the ground beside him, he got ontop of him and punched him on his face widly like an animal. The boy eventually fainted.

Asuka was done with the other boy, which, clearly, Shinji did not see and started to go nuts on him. 

Right now, besides Asuka, all of them were bleeding, the two fainted boys. And Shinji, who was panting on one of them.

Asuka hurried to Shinji and examined his wounds, his nose was bleeding and his knuckles were clearly purple and swollen.

"Baka! I could've kicked their asses myself. hmph"

to which Shinji only chuckled weakly. "sure"

She helped him up and wakled him and herself to the landline, and called Misato.

"Hey, this is Major Katsuragi"

"Urgent. Pilot injury"

"shin-chan..?"

"take us home. now."
