Love it. And Shi and the females under her command rock hard. Honestly, it's nice to see a group of anime characters who don't fall to pieces whenever they stand out in the rain for 5 minutes.

Can't wait for the next installment :)

The soldiers are gathering and preparing their weapons for a big confrontation with the large group of youkai. I'm glad Rei will have Hakkai at her back. It's odd that Sanzo didn't want to participate--or maybe he is reinforcements if something gets sticky, or the youkai attack the inn. I wonder what Rei and Hakkai will have to say or do with each other before the battle begins. If Rei has been hunting these creatures before, she may have valuable information to share with the ikkou for their journey further westward. So does this mean Tenpou and Shine fought together in heaven? Excellent writing. I liked the little interlude before the attack begins. Wait--by hunting does Rei mean she is going out after the youkai before they even attack?

I opened my mind to a straight Saiyuki story, and I'm really glad I did! Captivating. I look forward to reading the next installment, and only regret that I didn't wait until the completion of the story to start reading it, as I hate waiting!

Some people are just a little slow, ne? So, he misses her, he admires her, he loves her ... so what's he going to do about it? Excellent writing, very descriptive. I could picture each scene in my mind perfectly, in living technicolour. And Kenren cutting herbs? Priceless! I'll bet he did it with his sword so he wouldn't have to bend over! More, please!

*cackles* Rei and Sanzo's relationship has not crumbled any even if they don't realize it. *snerks* Shi and Konzen are alive and snarking at each other, people. Place your bets!

AHH! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! OMFG! That's friggin f'hilarious! Nothing makes for a beautiful punishment like complete and utter humiliation. Much better than just flat out beating them. Though, the spanking should be enough to keep them walking funny for a while, you know, keep it fresh in everyone's memory. *deep satisfied inhale* Ahhh.... the diabolical mind of the great Shi. I think I love her too now ;)

I...Hn..Ng....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... Hakkai with claws and fangs...... *has melted and gone to a very very happy place* I love the idea of Rei instructing him sort of when it comes to his demonic self, as Hakkai has always been the teacher up to this point. Awesome chapter, as always. Now if Tenpou and Shi could just catch up... lol
