Rei
Rei wandered the labyrinth, fear racing through her. Something was chasing her and all she knew was that if it caught her, it was all over for her. The darkness and emptiness of the corridors combined with the ominous stone of the walls for an eerie setting that raised Rei's nerves to their extremes. The worst part was that she couldn’t transform into Sailor Mars, though she couldn't understand why.
She rounded a corner, dodged a flame and ducked under a swinging stone. The danger was there and Rei was not as fast in this form as she was in her Senshi form. She was sweating profusely. She came to an intersection and looked back and forth before choosing to go to the left. The raven-haired woman turned a corner and a shadow descended on her. Rei felt something tear into her shoulder and she screamed.
Rei sat up, sweat rolling down her forehead. She wiped it away with her hands. It was that damn dream again. She still did not know what it meant, but she knew danger was coming. She was waiting to tell the others until she knew something more specific. She didn't feel the time was right, because Usagi would go into an incredible panic.
She got out of bed, pulling on one of robes. She slipped down the hall into the bathroom and drew herself a bath, slipping in to wash herself. Grandpa and Yuuichirou were out training, and would be gone for some time, so she had no fear of them interrupting her. She splashed the water idly, trying to shake the fear that had come from her nightmare. She hoped she could learn what she needed to in time.
Once she was clean and dressed in the robes of a priestess, she had her duties to attend to so she could keep the shrine up and running. She did the laundry, swept up the leaves and dirt and attended to the few that came to this peaceful place. In a way, she enjoyed these duties. Despite the times that the blonde annoyed her, it was in the midst of her duties that she'd first met Usagi and, through her, she'd learned about her destiny as a Sailor Soldier.
Once her chores were done, she secluded herself with the sacred flame. She had been consulting the flames with very little luck since the dreams began. It had become habit though, and she hoped that each time that she'd glean something through the divining. She sat on her knees after tucking her robe underneath her. She pressed her hands together, praying for a sign she could interpret, a sign she could use to help ease her growing fear. As of yet, the flames had given her nothing and it only added to her unease. Rei was deeply entranced for over an hour, sitting and praying to the flames, when a form appeared in the flames. Finally. It was a hulking shadow of a creature and Rei peered into the flames, trying to see the details.
Without warning, a clawed hand shot through the flames and Rei was nearly shredded as she fell over backwards to avoid it, rolling until she came back to her hand and knees. She heard a guttural growl and looked up in time to see a large male monster with slimy green skin pull his clawed hand back through the flame. He laughed as he flexed the claws, each one as large and thick as a carving knife. The creature was tall and his eyes were completely black, soulless orbs that she couldn’t tell which direction they looked. “Not bad, Senshi girl…”
Rei felt a shock run through her at that comment, but she didn’t let it affect her judgment. "You messed with the wrong girl," Rei cried, "Mars Crystal Power!" Flames circled out and around her as her robe vanished. When the flames dispersed, Sailor Mars stood at the ready, red heels and skirt with a red bow in the back, a white bodysuit with a red bow in the front, white gloves with red at the ends, red hanging stars for earrings and a gold tiara with a red jewel in the center.
"I am Sailor Mars, champion of justice and you've broken into the wrong shrine." She extended her hands as a flaming arrow and bow appeared. "Flame Sniper!" The arrow flew with deadly accuracy, but the creature dodged quickly and the arrow dissipated behind it.
"Nice try," he said, his voice gravelly. He leapt again, closing the gap faster than Mars expected and she was forced to throw herself away to keep from getting skewered. The creature began chasing her around the room. She kept trying for an opening, but it moved fast enough that she couldn’t use her power. She landed once, planting her feet and kicking the creature in the stomach. It didn’t faze it at all as he grabbed her by the foot and threw her across the room. She crashed to the floor, rolling back up to her feet.
This thing is better than most youma. I might need help, she thought, pulling up the communicator on her wrist. She typed in, but all she got was static. She frowned, then gasped as a blast of energy missed her by inches. Face forward, idiot! She leapt to the side of a second and tried to fire back, but the creature was not letting up and it was all Mars could do to keep from being blasted.
The monster was laughing. "Dance, Senshi girl! I want to see you dance!"
Sailor Mars dodged left and right, starting to head into the blasts. She didn't have time to use her power, but if she could get close enough, she could try and take him down. A blast went right by her ear. Damn, these are too close for comfort! She stopped short, leaping over the next blast and led with a kick that slammed her heel right in the creature's head. It gave a grunt and stepped backward. Mars didn't stop, running toward the creature as it got up and she connected with his stomach and then with his jaw. She was punching and kicking him as hard as she could, trying to keep him from getting his bearings back. Finally, connected with an uppercut. He groaned, eyes rolling back and he fell to the floor, unmoving. She approached cautiously to make sure it was down.
Mars looked down at the fallen creature, his eyes closed and body limp. She sighed, putting her hands on her knees and catching her breath. She smiled. Just breathe, then eliminate it, she thought, closing her eyes for just a second. She wiped sweat off her brow. Then her face hardened and she looked down at the creature. "Make me dance, will you?" She extended her arm to fry it with her Flame Sniper.
With lightning quickness, the youma went from limp to standing, grabbing her arm and slamming her into the floor. The air went out of Mars and she tried to get out of his grip, but he held her arm tight, whipping her again into the floor. She cried out, seeing stars. He then picked her up and threw her across the room. She collided into the wall, hearing the boards crack. How can it move so fast? Pain laced through her body as she tried to stand, listening to the creature laugh. She was going to kill this thing if it was the last thing she did, simply because it was taunting her.
There was a slight shimmer in the air next to the youma, like the illusion heat made when coming off the pavement on a summer's day. A man in spectacles stepped out, a long labcoat draped down over the black outfit underneath. He had black hair and green eyes which were shooting darts into the creature. His face was stern and he did not seem in the best of moods. "Quit messing around, Arvis. I let you have your fun, but we do not need delays. Should anyone find out what is going on, the rebellion will be over before it started. Finish the fight now."
"Finish this!" Mars cried. "Burning Mandala!" Rings of fire appeared around Sailor Mars, drawing in and then shooting from her hands towards Arvis and the newcomer. The creature growled and held up its hand as the newcomer vanished and reappeared further away from Mars, standing on the wall at an angle. There was an explosion as the fire hit Arvis and Mars cried out in triumph. She turned to the newcomer. "Now tell me what's going on, or I'll vaporize you too."
The newcomer shook his head. "Did you really think, Rei Hino, that I would be so woefully underprepared for a battle as important as this? You give me far too little credit."
Sailor Mars turned back, but too slow as Arvis grabbed her as he ran by, slamming her into the wall. Her eyes widened as his fist drove into her stomach and then he slammed her into the ground again. Stars ran in front of her vision and Mars tried not to pass out. She picked herself up, unwilling to fail and she tried to focus on the creature. Arvis was holding up his clawed hand and she watched as the blades changed to regular fingers. It didn't last long as the fingers extended like vines and wrapped up the dazed Senshi, pinning her arms to her sides, binding her feet together and slamming her into the wall again, cracking her head against the boards before dragging her back into the room.
Mars struggled in her bonds, crying out for help as she realized she could not defeat this thing on her own. "No one will be coming to help you, Sailor Mars." The man in the coat walked over to her as Arvis tightened her bonds. "I made sure of it. None of your friends are anywhere nearby and I jammed your communicator frequency. Soundproofing the battle room will keep any possible non-Senshi interference from happening." She couldn’t keep the shock off her face and he smiled, running a finger along her cheek and moving it hurriedly as she vainly tried to bite it. "As I said, I've been preparing this for some time. My princess and I have been watching you and your friends, learning your weaknesses, preparing for this day, for this battle. I knew you were a threat from the beginning. Your visions give you an unnatural advantage. I had to make sure I could get to you before you can warn Usagi. If we plan on having our revenge, we can't have any warning."
The man stood as Arvis approached. "Shouldn't we just kill her, Seldane?" Mars gasped, struggling as best she could with as tightly wrapped as he had her. It wasn't that she feared death. She'd died twice while protecting her princess, three times if you counted her death back in the Silver Millenium. But she needed to escape and warn her princess about what was going on before it was too late. These people weren't like others which attacked for energy, which they could see and deal with. They were after the Senshi themselves.
The man turned and hit the creature in the face. "Did nothing I say penetrate your thick skull, Arvis? The princess wants her alive and contained for her own amusement. If it weren't for her, you wouldn't exist and neither would I. We owe our existence to her benevolence. You would spit in the face of that now?"
Arvis shook his head. "No, sir. I just don't like leaving the enemy the chance of striking back."
Seldane shook his head. "Don't worry Arvis. She won't be in any condition to fight back. Continue with the operation."
Arvis nodded and approached Sailor Mars. She was secretly glad they weren't going to kill her, even with their certainty that she couldn't escape giving her a chill. Overconfidence like that gave her hope that she could warn the others in time. Whatever they were planning, she could find a way to escape. She sneered up at the youma, struggling mightily against his vined appendages that held her tight. He snickered, extending one of them so it began to rub gently against her pussy through her bodysuit. Her eyes widened in surprise, but she'd be damned if she allowed him the satisfaction of hearing her gasp. Arvis smiled nonetheless, increasing the speed in which she was fondled as he came down near her head. "You…you try anything and I'll…I'll bite your nose off." It was meant to be a threat, but it came out as a squeak as he maneuvered the appendage under her body suit to her pussy, rubbing the lips gently.
"Oh!" she cried, shocked that he'd done that and it made her squirm even more. "Let…me…go!" This wretched creature was taking advantage of her and the proud Senshi of fire was helpless to stop it. He began to breathe slowly along her skin, the air hot on her body.
"Don't damage the trophy," Seldane said tersely.
"Yeah, yeah," Arvis muttered, as another appendage slipped under the top of her bodysuit, rubbing along her breasts. Mars whimpered in frustration, unable to stop them. She tried to squirm and fight them as best she could, but with her limbs bound so tight she had no real chance of escape against something stronger than her. "I'm going to enjoy you when this is all said and done, Mars. I've made it my goal."
"Just try it. I'll tear you apart if you do." There were tears in Mars' eyes. She'd never been attacked like this by anyone, youma or otherwise, before.
"As entertaining as your humiliating is, Arvis…"
"Relax Seldane, it's working. It just takes time. And I thought I'd do something I've always wanted to do. The princess isn't the only one with a grudge against the Senshi. My race wants revenge too. Why do you think we were so eager to help? I'm just mixing business and pleasure."
Seldane simply folded his arms. "I understand, but my power holding the barriers is weakening. Can you move faster?"
"Not unless you want this done right." Arvis then turned back to Mars and leaned down, licking her cheek with a long forked tongue. Mars tried to bite it, but he kept pulling it back when she tried and snaking it back out to run along her face again. An appendage came to her ass and began massaging her cheeks back there. It was awful being felt up this way and Mars tried to shut her body down from feeling anything from this. Arvis was trying to push the right buttons though, being gentle in his touches as he kept breathing hot air down on her.
She was feeling a little light-headed and it wasn't from the pleasure. Was he cutting off her blood flow? She couldn't tell, but her concentration was going with it. It made the touches to her sensitive areas that much harder to ignore, and a soft moan left her lips involuntarily as he pressed just slightly inside her lower lips. She closed her eyes, the feelings running through her, and her will to fight felt as though it was being drained. "What…are you doing…to me?"
"Oh, you'll see soon. Until then, just relax and enjoy my touch, whore."
"No. I will…fight you."
"Then you will lose that much more quickly." He breathed again and Mars opened her eyes to see a glow surrounding her body. "It is time. Are you ready?"
Seldane nodded. "I hope I don't lose the shielding." He bent down above Mars as well and ran a hand that was glowing black over her body. Fear ran through Mars as the appendages withdrew, leaving him to work. She tried to struggle, but the glow alone held her prone body now. Seldane breathed out and his eyes lit up with glee. "Do you see it?"
"The sign of Mars…" Arvis said. Mars could only watch as Seldane touched her forehead. It felt as though something began sucking on her brain and she cried out. She was being torn in two and the pain was excruciating. She gasped, trying to focus, trying to find something to grasp onto, but she could not. It brought a feeling of helplessness and despair to her that she had never felt before. She was not supposed to feel this way. She was a Senshi, a soldier of justice. She just wanted to scream, but it seemed that ability was gone as well. For the first time in her life, Sailor Mars wished for death to come, if only it would end the pain.
And just when Mars thought it would not last any longer, it was over and she could feel herself lying on the hardwood floor, her body sensitive all over. She forced her eyes to open sluggishly, despite the pain to do so, and saw a glowing ball in Seldane's hand. "It worked," he said in awe, "It actually worked." He turned to Arvis, "Are you ready to receive it?" Arvis nodded and Seldane reached forward, shoving the ball onto his head. The youma cried out in pain, his body trembling.
Now's my opportunity, Sailor Mars thought, struggling to roll to her side. She was exhausted and she felt violated, but she was not going to give up. It took a few minutes, but she managed to climb to her feet. Her legs were trembling from exhaustion, but she raised her hand. Don't fail me now. "Flame…" She never got the shot off. Arvis swung his hand out and a white light passed through her. "Oh…" was all she managed to say as she fell back. He body felt strange and limp, tingling all over, but there was no pain. She thought dying would be more painful, like before.
Her body suddenly felt like it was twisting and she closed her eyes, hoping it would be quick. She felt like she was being squeezed in tight, like her body was being crushed, although there wasn’t any physical pain to it. There was a strange rush of wind and suddenly Mars felt like she was smothered in cloth. She struggled with it, trying to escape. Whatever had happened, she wasn't dead, and that was somewhat a relief. She fought with the white fabric, wondering if maybe they'd sent her somewhere. She struggled through the endless field of white, finally seeing an opening. She scrambled toward it, hoping she could figure out where she was.
She got to the opening and stared around, trying to understand what she was seeing. It took almost a full minute before she processed that she was in the same room, though it looked as though it had been expanded. Either that or… She drew in a breath as she saw her body, now naked, and realized what it meant. She had been shrunk. She pulled the gigantic Senshi outfit to her body, trying to cover up her nudity. She saw a shadow fall over her and a giant's hand wrapped around her gently and lifted her off the ground and out of the covering. She started to struggle.
"I wouldn't do that," a loud and familiar female voice said. Rei looked over her shoulder and saw a much larger version of herself staring back. "You fall and you'll break every bone in your body." Mars looked down, seeing he was right. A drop from this high would kill her easily.
"I must say I'm impressed, Arvis. You look and sound just like her. Along with the memories of hers we took, you should be able to imitate her well enough to hide your true identity from the others," Seldane said. He held up a small cage and Rei was dropped down into it.
She fell into the cage, her back slamming into the bars. As soon as she did, a set of shackles appeared on her wrists, chaining her to the wall. She stood as the cage was set upright again and shackles from the bars appeared around her feet as well. Both chains were pulled tight and Rei struggled to move without much success. "No!" she cried. "Let me go!"
The two giants were talking though and neither heard her small voice. She sighed in frustration. How could this happen? She looked up at Arvis, who seemed to be examining his copy of her body with glee. It filled her with disgust as she struggled against the shackles to see him ogling her body like that.
"Listen to me," Seldane was saying. Arvis was still looking, now checking out Rei's ass. Seldane walked up, grabbing Arvis by the chin and turning him…or was it her now?... to face him. "Listen to me," he said much more sternly, "we don't have time for your foolishness. Now you go out and play your part. Find another Senshi to trap and tell me which one, so I can set up another of your kind to help."
Arvis nodded, though she wore a devilish smile. She leaned down, looking into the cage. "I'm going to enjoy giving your body the workout it so deserves." Rei fumed, straining against her bonds as Arvis laughed.
Seldane apparently did not find it funny. He smacked Arvis across the face, watching her drop. "Stop fooling around. You must act like she does, or all is lost. Do not forget what we are up against. If we are to win, we must not be detected until it is too late. I have worked on this plan too hard for it to fail now because of your foolishness. My princess does not deserve failure."
Arvis sprang back up, looking as though she wanted to fight, but Seldane's gaze held her in her place. "Fine."
"Your power can give you an imitation of hers should you need to portray Mars for any reason and I have given you the ability to fake her transformation. You should be fine. One word of caution however. Avoid the Outer Senshi for now if you can, as they are more dangerous. And make sure to stay away from Sailor Moon and Sailor Pluto completely. Sailor Pluto is powerful enough that we must have two or three captured Senshi before we try to get her, and Sailor Moon must be last if we have any chance of success. Am I clear?"
Arvis nodded, looking more like Rei would in stance and expression. It was unnerving to the real Rei. If what Seldane was saying was true, then Arvis could get close to any of her friends and they wouldn't know it was a trap until it was too late. She needed to get free. Seldane motioned for Arvis to go then, and the woman turned and left, leaving her alone with her captor. He moved toward her fallen Senshi outfit, picking it up and smiling. "My princess will be pleased with her first trophy. The first of a set." There was a shimmer as he began laughing, and soon they were in what appeared to be a lab. Inside it were many caged animals, several of which Rei could not identify.
The cage was lifted onto a table and Seldane's enormous face appeared at the other end as he opened the door. "Such a helpless little girl in her cage." He laughed. "And soon, my helpless pet, you will be performing for my princess."
"Like hell I will!" Rei squeaked, still struggling against her bonds.
"Oh you will, because if you displease her, you'll be feeding Skithe." He motioned over to a cage that was set apart from the others. At first Rei could see nothing, but then a large snake slithered out of a log. It had green and brown scales and it moved along with no sound Rei could hear. It came to the edge of its cage and seemed to fixate intently on her, its forked tongue sliding in and out. "And he's always hungry." She shivered in fear as he began to laugh.
She rounded a corner, dodged a flame and ducked under a swinging stone. The danger was there and Rei was not as fast in this form as she was in her Senshi form. She was sweating profusely.
