The smoke swirled in strange shapes in the air hovering over the unfinished cigar sitting in an ashtray. The ashtray sat there on the desk of the one and only Sir Integra Fairbook Wingates Hellsing, the leader of the Hellsing Organization. She sat there, thinking to herself with her chin resting on the palm of her hand. She was staring at papers that Walter had given her awhile back. Integra couldn’t come to believe the information that was in front of her. Today was the day that it was going to happen; another person was to be added to the Hellsing team.
She let out a sigh as she reached for her cigar and took several drags of it before placing it back in the ashtray. Then she reached for her glass of white wine that she hadn’t touched for several minutes. She swallowed the wine hard, wiping the excess off of her lips and leaned back in her chair.
“Alucard,” She said to no one, at least no one that was visible.
Within seconds Integra could hear the deep laughter that she had grown to know. The laughter that could only come from something as evil as Alucard was, the most evil creature on the face of this planet. She watched as he rose out of the floor of her office. Integra was rather shocked to see him not in his red coat and hat. However, the rest of his outfit remained the same: the crisp white shirt, the light grey vest, the black pants and black boots.
“You called Master,” Alucard asked, barely bowing his head to her.
“Yes,” Integra said picking up her cigar again, “I would like to have a word with you.”
“About what?”
She took a quick drag of her cigar before she picked up the paper that was lying on her desk, “You see this piece of paper? It’s from the Queen herself.”
“And what about it?”
“It says that you and that little pet of yours are not doing your jobs very well!” She yelled at him as she put her cigar out in the ashtray.
“What?!” Alucard growled at her.
“Apparently Seras is not doing her job cause there’s tons and tons of vampire attacks everyday and the numbers grow and grow,” Integra said as she tried to fight the urge to stand up and yell at him at the top of her lungs.
“I don’t understand,” Alucard replied, “We’ve done everything you have ordered us to do.”
“Well it’s apparently not enough,” she said letting out a sigh, “The Queen has ordered for me to allow a slayer onto the team.”
“WHAT?!” Alucard yelled, “A slayer?! Slayers are weak because they’re only human!”
“Well I have no other choice,” Integra said, “Either I have to let this slayer join our team or the Queen shuts us down for good and gives our jobs to someone else. That means you’ll have to go back to being tied up in the basement again.”
“God not again.”
“Well then you’ll just have to get along with this slayer,” she replied back, “They’ll be here today.”
“You don’t know who it is?”
Integra glared at him, “No. The Queen picked the slayer.”
“Well this is going to be interesting. So tell me Integra what happens if this slayer does not help our numbers?”
“Then I will bring the issue up to her majesty herself,” Integra said annoyingly at him, “Now they’ll be arriving…”
There was a knock at the door as Walter opened the door, “Sir the slayer has arrived.”
“Good send him in,” Integra replied.
“Yes,” Walter stepped out of the way of the doorway as another person walked in through the door.
The person was covered from head to toe in black. The person’s long slightly wavy dark brunette hair swayed back and forth as they walked forward.
“So you’re the slayer?” Alucard said, sneering at the newcomer, “Well you had better stay out of my way understand little man!”
“You mean little miss,” the slayer answered back quickly.
Both Alucard and Integra were taken back by the female voice that came forth from the folds of black fabric that was wrapped up to her eyes. The slayer moved her black leather gloved hands to remove the scarf from her face. From her eyes one could see the thin yet long nose and then downward to the full lips that were painted a dark merlot color.
“I am Elisabeth,” she said as she bowed slightly towards Integra.
“I am Integra Hellsing, leader of this organization,” Integra smirked, “But you already knew that. When you are in my presence you will call me Sir or Sir Integra unless authorized to call me something else. Do you understand?”
“I understand master,” Elisabeth replied her head still bowed until she looked up to stare right at Alucard.
Alucard was stunned. He couldn’t believe that this creature was standing before him. He was expecting some pompous male slayer who would be all full of himself and ‘know’ what he was doing, but instead stood this exquisite creature, woman.
“Shall I show Ms. Elisabeth to her room?” Walter asked.
“Yes please do so Walter,” taking a slow drag of her cigar.
“Right,” Walter replied turning towards Elisabeth, “This way please.”
Walter went out the door first and Elisabeth followed.
“Alucard,” Integra spoke.
He didn’t hear her, he was thinking of things. Memories from has past before he became the Hellsing family pet vampire. Those beautiful dark eyes, almost black easily pierced his chilly demeanor.
“Alucard!”
He turned to look at Integra, “Yes master?”
“Answer me the first bloody time I call you,” Integra said noticing that Alucard had in fact watched Elisabeth walk out the door, “She is not your play toy, she is not like Seras understand?”
“Seras isn’t my type,” Alucard replied coolly.
“Bullshit I’ve heard you two going at it like dogs.”
“Well sorry for having desires like a human.”
“Never mind your sex life,” Integra said putting the rest of her cigar out in the ash tray, “She’s off limits. I don’t want to have to tell the Queen that my pet vampire couldn’t keep his hands off of the slayer that she herself chose for us.”
“Why would you think that I would even try to sleep with Elisabeth?”
“I saw you watching her,” Integra said.
“Awe,” Alucard pouted slightly, “Is my master jealous that I was looking at another woman?”
“No,” Integra said knowing that there was now a faint blush on her face, “I don’t want relations screwing up teamwork.”
“Is there anything else you need my master cause I would like to go rest some more,” Alucard asked with a bit of a whine in his voice.
“Yes just a few things about Elisabeth that you should be aware of. First off, she’s a lot stronger then she looks…..she’s a dhampir.”
“A dhampir? A female dhampir?” Alucard said out of shock, “Are you sure of this?”
“Yes.”
“Female dhampir’s are extremely rare,” Alucard replied still shocked at what he had heard, “It’s only suppose to be passed down though the male gene.”
“I know the myths and legends Alucard,” Integra said, “She’s an amazing vampire hunter due to that very reason. She will be staying up here on the main floor since she can handle the sunlight.”
“Anything else?”
“Not yet,” Integra smirked, “But if anything else comes up I’ll let you know. Oh and please apologize to Elisabeth for the rude first impression you gave her.”
“Yes master,” he bowed slightly before sinking through the floor.
-Meanwhile-
Walter walked, at his usual speed with Elisabeth at his side, down the hallway. He stopped at a door and turned the knob with his hand.
“Here we are Ms. Elisabeth,” Walter said as he bowed slightly, letting her enter the room first.
Elisabeth looked around the room. It was a very monochromatic room, everything in shades and tints of blue. She saw that across from the door was a window and next to it was a dark oak dresser. On the wall closest to her was another dark oak piece of furniture, a vanity complete with a small chair that was upholstered with a white and blue ornate fabric. Opposite the vanity was the bed. A king sized four poster bed, dark oak again, with a very interact detailing on the posts themselves. The bedding was again all blue, a very sapphire satin blue with sheets as white as snow.
“Is this room to your liking?” Walter asked her.
“It is but…” she started out looking for a name to call him.
“But what Ms? And you may call me Walter.”
“Do I have to stay in such a Van Gogh room,” she said smirking slightly.
Walter let out a laugh, “Well do forgive me. Perhaps we can change it to your liking if you stay with us long enough.”
Elisabeth let out a sigh, “I guess then I’ll have to deal with it. Is someone bringing up my things?”
“Oh yes,” Walter said cleaning his monocle with his handkerchief, “Ms. Victoria was assigned to bring them up.”
“A girl? You ordered a girl to bring up my things? Some of my things are extremely heavy for a mere girl.”
Just as she said that a loud bang was heard from the hallway.
“Well Ms. Victoria is no mere girl,” Walter replied.
Not a moment later Elisabeth could hear a female voice cursing softly as she came closer to the room. Seras entered the room carrying what seemed like the breaking point number of bags that any human would every carry. A few pieces of her short and somewhat spiky strawberry blonde hair stuck to her forehead. She was wearing a black t shirt and a very short skirt and black knee high boots.
“Walter…why did you make me get up and carry all these bags up here?” Seras complained before she set the bags down on the floor not realizing that there was another person in the room.
“Ms. Elisabeth allow me to introduce Ms. Victoria,” Walter said.
Seras looked up to see Elisabeth standing before her, “Wow you’re really beautiful.”
Elisabeth let a soft smile come across her face, “Why thank you.”
“So why are you here? Are you a relative of Sir Integra’s?”
Walter quickly answered, “No Ms. Victoria. Elisabeth is a slayer and she is here to join the team and help us out.”
Seras’ express grew on her face, “Oh really? That’s wonderful!! I’ve been waiting for another female to join the team! It’s been horrible being the only girl. Well if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go back to bed since someone woke me up before sunset.”
Walter laughed, followed by Elisabeth before she spoke, “It was nice to meet you Victoria.”
“Oh please call me Seras,” she replied before turning to head out the door, “everyone else pretty much calls me that.”
“She’s a vampire right?” Elisabeth asked Walter.
“Yes,” Walter answered back, “Alucard created her.”
“She doesn’t act like a vampire though.”
Walter let out a sigh, “No Ms. Victoria is still not ready to let go of her mortal nature.”
“I don’t blame her,” Elisabeth said, “I cherish mine.”
“Right,” Walter said smiling, “Well if you notice there’s a door right here and it leads to your bathroom. If you need anything please don’t hesitate to ask.”
“Thank you Walter,” Elisabeth said as she started to unpack one of her bags, not noticing that Walter had left the room.
When she turned around and saw that she was alone, she went to the door and locked it. She knew that the mortals at least couldn’t get to her but as for Alucard, which was another thing she would worry about later.
At the moment she was exhausted from her travels and just wanted to unwind. She decided that now would probably be a good time for a hot bath. She walked over to the door that Walter had pointed out to her and opened the door. Her eyes stared into the room, a smaller bathroom then she would have hoped. She sighed as she figured that she would just have to deal.
“At least it has a tub,” she said aloud to no one.
She closed the door behind her, locked it as well, before she turned on the water. As the sound of the water filling up the tub hit her ears, she started to undress. First the scarf that she was wearing over her face then her black trench coat. They were followed by the black fishnet top she was wearing and black tank top that was underneath it and her black boots. The last things that she removed were her bra and her black leather pants.
Elisabeth shut off the water as she slowly climbed into the hot water. The heat was painful at first but her skin and her body grew use to it as she started to relax. She draped her long dark hair over the edge of the tub and tilted her head slightly to her right shoulder. She allowed herself to close her eyes, enjoying the feeling of the hot water on her achy muscles.
If only she had realized that she wasn’t alone…
Lurking in the shadows of the room was, of course, Alucard. He had made his way to her room to apologize to her but found nothing when he entered her room. Then his ears picked up the sound of the water running. Alucard summoned a third eye that appeared on his forehead as he looked through the door and the walls, seeing Elisabeth undressing herself.
Alucard swallowed hard as he watched her. He knew that it wasn’t right to watch her, especially since Integra had said that she was off limits to him, but still something inside of him told him to stay and it wasn’t his normal lustful curiosity.
He couldn’t believe his eyes as he stared at her, she was perfect. Her skin so smooth and light in complexion, like cream. Her dark hair fell down to her mid-back and tumbled gently over her shoulders as she leaned down to remove her boots. Alucard could easily feel his passion rising as he saw her breasts fully exposed, perfect as well as the rest of her body.
Finally he pulled himself away from the door and sank through the floor, finding himself in the dungeons. He began walking towards his chambers when he was interrupted by his little pet.
“Master!” Seras exclaimed as she hugged him, “Are you ready for some fun, my master?”
Alucard let out a sigh and pried her off of him, “Not tonight Seras.”
Seras was shocked, “What are you feeling ill?”
Alucard walked past her and onward to his room, “I’m just not in the mood.”
Seras looked at him as he continued to walk away from her. She simply shrugged her shoulders and headed back to her room. Alucard was too preoccupied with the sight of Elisabeth to even think about being with Seras this night.
He let out a heavy sigh as he opened the iron door to his room, shutting it behind him. He looked at his coffin, so temptingly calling out to him. He stripped himself off his shirt and pants and crawled into the coffin, shutting the lid.
Alucard knew that even if he tried to sleep he wasn’t getting any. He wondered if this slayer was in fact going to be the death of him.
