“Liar, Not a Liar”
Natori x Natsume
Natsume awoke from his nightmare with tears streaming down his face. He opened his eyes and for a moment the ring of "liar, liar" echoed around him and he saw ghosts of the images he'd seen in his dream. Then they rearranged themselves into the worried faces of Natori-san and Nyanko-sensei hovering over him.
"Natsume-kun, are you ok? It looked like you were having a nightmare." Natsume sat up and Natori and Nyanko-sensei backed off to give him room. He realized he had tears on his cheeks.
"You’re right. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He couldn't believe he was crying over some silly memory of the past, just like a kid.
Nyanko-sensei decided to give him some breathing room. He knew Natsume didn't particularly liked being seen as weak. "What are you doing Natsume, waking people up in the middle of the night,” he complained as he wandered out of the room. Natsume could tell he wasn’t really mad, the bite was left out of the words.
That left Natsume and Natori alone. Natsume was looking down at his lap, willing the tears to abate and hoping Natori would ignore the fact that he was crying. He clenched his hands in the blanket over his lap and saw a hand cover his own. He looked up surprised at Natori, who only smiled gently and took the same arm and wrapped it around Natsume's shoulders, bringing the boy to lean against his chest. Natsume was a little dumbstruck at first, then let out a breath he didn't realized he'd been holding. He relaxed against Natori and let his eyes drift shut. All his life he'd been treated like a bother so someone holding him gently wasn't something he'd experienced often. Wrapping his arms loosely around Natori's waist, bringing himself closer to him and breathing in his scent, Natsume's heart was calmed, the nightmare and bad memories completely forgotten. Natori smiled, then took his other hand to brush it through Natsume's hair in a calming motion. Natsume smiled, relaxing at the common action of Natori patting his head.
Thinking back, Natori had always treated him like he was someone special, someone he wanted to protect, just as Natsume wanted to protect him. Natori's hand soon came down Natsume's cheek in a caressing motion until his fingers were under Natsume's chin. He tilted Natsume's head up so he could look into his eyes, which were cloudy from having almost fallen asleep. Natsume didn't even blink when Natori pressed his lips sweetly to his own. He merely closed his eyes at the comfortable feeling and pressed back. After a moment, Natori pulled away and looked down into Natsume's face. He was blushing slightly, in a daze, and his eyes were almost luminous. Gently, he lay them back down on the futon, cradling Natsume's head before bringing their lips together again. Natsume put up no resistance and in fact seemed to be waiting for it. He kept his arms loosely about Natori and kissed back. They were chaste, lingering kisses, meant to comfort and convey feeling, rather than trying to lead to something.
After a few moments, Natori pulled back, sliding his hand to Natsume's cheek and letting his thumb run across his cheekbone.
"Natori-san." Natsume said a little breathlessly, eyes glassy.
"Are you awake now?" Natori asked
"Awake?"
"You seemed kind of out-of-it so I wondered if you were actually awake,” he laughed.
"I was awake. It was just so comfortable that I didn't question it. Didn't think to." Here Natsume blushed a little darker, but he didn't look away. Natori's expression became more serious and he leaned down once more to kiss the boy beneath him. This time the kiss deepened; their heads tilting for better angles, their lips opening wider. Soon Natori flicked his tongue out against Natsume's lips. Natsume started a bit, but soon relaxed, and flicked his own tongue out to touch Natori's. Soon their tongues were twining together in a slow cadence while Natsume slid his hands into Natori's silky hair; Natori doing likewise. Natsume heated up as his passion increased with every barely-there touch of Natori's hand. First his hands had stayed in Natsume's hair but then began drifting further south, along his neck and throat, skimming down his chest and sides, continuing down to his hips and thighs.
Gently his hand slid up and down the outside of Natsume's leg, pushing his yukata aside and sending tingles racing along the teen's spine. Natsume moaned, sliding his tongue deeper into Natori's mouth while his leg came up to rub against Natori's hand. Eventually both legs spread to wrap loosely around Natori. In response, Natori pressed himself against Natsume's body, their hips coming in contact and causing the both to moan deep in their throat, parting their kiss. Natori leaned down to claim his lips again and began to rub himself against Natsume, their nascent erections brushing together through the thin material of their yukatas. Natsume rubbed back, wanting to get more friction between his legs. Throwing his head back and moaning as Natori built up their rhythm, Natsume began panting and clutching at Natori's shoulders, practically ripping off the offending material. He could feel the pleasure building up, coming to a peak, alternately wanting it to end and wanting it to go on forever. Finally the string pulled taut in both of them and they reached their release arching their backs and crying out. Then they collapsed together, panting. Natori eventually rolled off of Natsume, pulling him along to keep him close. They lay on their sides, still waiting for their frantic heart rates to go back to normal, Natori looking at Natsume's face tenderly; his eyes were closed. Bringing his hand to Natsume's cheek, Natori called the younger boy's name softly. He opened his eyes and looked at him.
"How do you feel?" Natori asked him, still stroking his cheek. Natsume stayed silent for a moment, unsure of what to say and just looking at Natori.
"I feel…tired." He ended lamely, looking away, not being able to come up with a word that would convey what he felt without sounding cheesy. Natori only chuckled.
"Tired, huh? Well then let's go to sleep. Do you want me to stay here?" At that Natsume looked at him once more in mild surprise. He blushed, looking away, and nodded. So Natori pulled Natsume closer to him, turning the lamp off and pulling the covers up around them. Natsume merely snuggled against Natori, closing his eyes wearily, and fell asleep.
